Residents across Dubai can look forward to easier commutes next week as the Dubai Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has announced free public parking in Dubai for Eid Al Etihad. Moreover, the authority has also updated the timings for the Dubai Metro, Tram, Bus services, and customer centres to help the public plan their long weekend efficiently.

Free Public Parking in Dubai for Eid Al Etihad

Motorists are going to enjoy 3 days of free parking due to the holiday falling on a Monday and Tuesday. So, Monday, December 1 & Tuesday, December 2 will be free parking dates. However, Sunday, 30 November, is already a free parking day. So, you can enjoy free parking for 3 days. It is important to note that the paid parking will resume on Wednesday, December 3.
Parking Zones NOT Included
All multi-storey car parks and the Al Khail Gate N-365 zone are those parking areas where the free parking offer will not apply. However, all other parking areas are going to follow these parking exemptions on the UAE National Day 2025 holiday.
RTA Customer Service & Vehicle Testing – Holiday Schedule
RTA Customer Happiness Centres and All Vehicle Technical Testing Centres under authorised service providers will remain closed during the 1st and 2nd of December 2025. However, the following Smart Customer Happiness Centres will remain open during the Eid Al Etihad:

- Deira
- Al Barsha
- Al Twar
- RTA Headquarters
These centres will continue operating normally throughout the holiday. However, regular schedules for all centres will resume from the 3rd of December 2025.

The RTA has also confirmed the following operational hours for Red and Green lines:

On the other hand, Marine Transport schedules for December 1–2 are available through RTA’s official online link. This includes Dubai Ferry, Water Taxi, and Abra services.
