Dubai has announced two new tourism initiatives designed to make travel planning more convenient and encourage visitors to return to the city. The plans include a new option to apply for single-entry and multiple-entry tourist visas through Visit Dubai, the city’s official tourism website, and Dubai Access Club, an invitation-only membership programme for repeat visitors. The initiatives are scheduled to be implemented during November 2026, while further details of the visa service are expected to be announced.
The announcement was made by Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, as part of the emirate’s wider effort to strengthen its position as a leading destination for business and leisure. The measures are being developed by GDRFA Dubai, the Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism (DET), and Digital Dubai.
What Is the New Dubai Tourist Visa Service?
Under the announced plan, travellers will be able to apply for tourist visas through Visit Dubai. The initial service is expected to cover single-entry and multiple-entry tourist visas, with additional visa categories potentially introduced in the future.
Visit Dubai already helps visitors explore attractions, experiences, events, ticket options and itinerary ideas. Adding a visa application option is intended to bring more parts of the visitor journey into one digital channel, reducing the need to move between separate websites and applications.
Important: this announcement does not mean every traveller is automatically eligible for a visa or that approval is guaranteed. GDRFA Dubai will continue to assess applications and issue visas. Applicants should wait for the official service instructions and check the current requirements that apply to their nationality and circumstances.
What Is Dubai Access Club?
Dubai Access Club is an invitation-only membership programme aimed at people who visit Dubai repeatedly. According to the announcement, invited members will receive access to selected experiences, services, offers and benefits designed to make future visits more rewarding.
The programme is intended to strengthen the relationship between Dubai and returning visitors. Its benefits and membership process should be confirmed through official announcements; travellers should not assume that membership is open to everyone or that a particular discount is guaranteed.
Why Has Dubai Announced These Tourism Initiatives?
The two initiatives form part of Dubai’s efforts to improve the visitor experience and support the goals of the Dubai Economic Agenda, D33. The overall approach is to make travel-related services easier to access, connect government services through digital platforms and give repeat visitors more reasons to return.
For travellers, a more connected online journey could make trip planning simpler. For the tourism sector, smoother access to information and services may help attractions, hotels, restaurants and experience providers connect with visitors. The practical impact will depend on how the services are rolled out and what features become available.
How Could the Changes Help Travellers?
- One starting point: Visit Dubai is intended to bring travel inspiration and selected visitor services together.
- More convenient planning: travellers may be able to move from researching a trip to starting a tourist visa application through the same platform.
- Clearer access to official services: visa decisions will still be handled by GDRFA Dubai.
- Potential benefits for repeat visitors: invited Dubai Access Club members may receive access to selected offers and experiences.
What Should Visitors Do Before Applying?
- Use official channels: check Visit Dubai and GDRFA Dubai for the live application link and latest instructions.
- Confirm eligibility: requirements can vary by nationality, visa type and personal circumstances.
- Check fees and documents: wait for official service details instead of relying on unverified social posts or third-party claims.
- Allow enough time: a new online option does not mean instant approval or same-day processing.
- Be careful with unofficial links: avoid sharing passport details or making payments through websites that cannot be verified as official.
Is the New Visa Service Available Right Now?
The initiatives were announced on 1 November 2026 and are planned for implementation during November. At the time of writing, detailed operating instructions for the new Visit Dubai visa application service were still to be announced. Before publishing or acting on this information, check the official Visit Dubai and GDRFA Dubai websites for confirmation that the service is live.
