The National Center of Meteorology (NCM) has released its detailed UAE August Weather Forecast. It predicts a combination of intense heat, intermittent dust storms, and elevated humidity.
Moreover, the average temperature is expected to reach around 35.7 °C. On the other hand, relative humidity might peak at 72%. Furthermore, rainfall is predicted to remain minimal at an average of 5.3 mm.
Shifting Breezes to Dominate UAE August Weather Forecast
August in the UAE is expected to see the breeze cycles. Notably, southeasterly winds prevail overnight, and northerly winds dominate during the daytime. Therefore, this dynamic wind pattern could occasionally stir up the dust during the western. So, it could impact the air quality and visibility in some parts of the nation.
The winds in the morning may become southerly and strong, which will lead to dust-laden conditions. However, northwesterly gusts could bring similar challenges in the coastal areas. On top of that, the Oman Sea is expected to remain slightly to moderately. In contrast, the Arabian Gulf will see calmer seas.
NCM Issues Weather Alert for Rain & Dust on Saturday
The NCM has also issued a weather alert for 2 August, i.e, today. Thus, the agency has forecast convective cloud formation and possible rainfall between 2 pm and 8 pm, especially over the eastern and southern UAE. Moreover, winds may intensify to 40km/h, which could reduce visibility across the affected region.
Therefore, the Abu Dhabi Police have warned motorists and drivers through X (formerly Twitter) to exercise caution. Moreover, the drivers are requested to monitor variable speed limits displayed on the electronic boards and stay alert under quickly changing conditions.
Sunday Weather Outlook & Safety Advisory
The weather could range from fair to partly cloudy on 3 August 2025, Sunday. In addition, there is also a chance of the convective cloud formation and rain again by afternoon in the eastern and southern areas.
Moreover, fog or mist could form overnight into Monday in the western region because of the increased humidity. However, winds will remain light to moderate (southeasterly to northeasterly). Remember, the speed of winds could occasionally strengthen up to 35 km/h.
Stay Updated and Safe
The NCM suggests that all residents and travelers stay updated on the latest forecast and follow the safety protocols during extreme weather events. Moreover, it is important to monitor official alerts and stay indoors during rain or a dust storm.
