UAE Travellers Embrace AI for Trip Planning, But Still Crave Human Touch

A new report from Tourism Economics for Arabian Travel Market (ATM) 2025  has highlighted a major shift in the behavior of the UAE travelers. Notably, it has highlighted that 60 percent of the travelers in the UAE now trust AI to plan everything from flights to local dining.

Moreover, it is above the global average of 48%. Thus, it highlights how tech-savvy the UAE residents are in reshaping the travel industry. In addition, they are using ChatGPT for AI-generated itineraries and smart concierge apps at hotels and attractions. It demonstrates that UAE residents are utilizing AI at every stage of their journey.

Companies like Sabre Hospitality, Expedia TAAP, Cvent, and Miral are already introducing next-gen tools to meet this growing demand.

AI Helps—But People Make It Personal

There is no doubt that AI provides you with speed and personalization. However, travel experts agree on the fact that technology supports, but it doesn’t replace human service. Amy Read, VP of Innovation at Sabre Hospitality, said it best:

“It is not about removing the people. Instead, it is about giving them more time to create real moments.”

For example, Sabre’s SynXis Concierge AI offers 24/7 hotel assistance. On the other hand, Miral’s AI assistant, Majd Al, gives tailored suggestions at Yas Island attractions. However, these tools are designed to free staff to focus on meaningful guest interactions, like heartfelt greetings or unique experiences.

AI in MICE Events: Efficiency Meets Emotion

The impact of Artificial Intelligence (AI) goes beyond holidays. It is projected that AI to exceed $2.3 trillion by 2032. Now, smart tools offer live translation and automate logistics. In addition, they also personalize the experience of the attendees. Still, the core goal of boosting the human connections remains unchanged.

Travel Tech With a Human Heart

Danielle Curtis, ME Exhibition Director at ATM, highlighted the perfect balance. Therefore, he said, “The best travel method boosts the real interactions. It should make the things original without losing their magic.”

This people-first philosophy was based on the ATM Travel Tech 2025, which saw a 26 percent rise in tech showcases. Travelers can expect more AI tools developed to make a journey smarter, faster, and still deeply personal because the ATM 2026 is all set to return from May 4 to 7, 2026.

Takeaway for UAE Travellers

Indeed, the AI can plan the perfect trip. However, the genuine service can bring surprise, a smile, and make the service memorable.
