Cricket fever is about to rise in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) as the DP World Asia Cup 2025 is scheduled to start from September 9 to September 28, 2025. This year, Abu Dhabi and Dubai will host the matches of this highly awaited cricket tournament. Now, the excitement has skyrocketed because the Emirates Cricket has announced the timing of the match.
Match Timings Announced for Asia Cup 2025
The UAE cricket board has finally revealed that 18 out of 19 matches of this tournament will start at 6:30 pm GST to give fans like you the perfect viewing experience. However, the UAE vs. Oman will be the only match that will be played on Monday, September 15, at 4:00 pm. However, it will be held at Zayed Cricket Stadium, Abu Dhabi.
Key Fixtures to Watch:
- September 9, Abu Dhabi: Afghanistan vs Hong Kong – 6:30 pm
- September 10, Dubai: India vs UAE – 6:30 pm
- September 14, Dubai: India vs Pakistan – 6:30 pm
- September 28, Dubai: Final – 6:30 pm
Dubai will host 11 matches in the tournament. On the other hand, 8 matches will be hosted by Abu Dhabi. Notably, Abu Dhabi will host the opening match, and Dubai will host the final of this tournament.
Tickets and Packages
Yesterday, tickets went on sale for this much-awaited tournament. However, the prices of the ticket will start from AED 40 in Abu Dhabi. On the other side, AED 50 is the starting ticket price for matches that are scheduled in Dubai.
Teams and Groups
This year, the Asia Cup 2025 has been expanded to 8 teams, which is more than 2 as compared to the previous season. However, the organizers have divided teams into 2 groups – four teams each. You will get the details related to both groups below:
- Group A: India (defending champions), Pakistan, UAE, Oman
- Group B: Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Afghanistan, Hong Kong
Suryakumar Yadav’s India will arrive in Dubai, UAE, on the 4th of September for training in the ICC academy. However, the UAE, Afghanistan, and Pakistan are strengthening their power in the tri-series at Sharjah.
