Dubai RTA Announces Free Parking and Service Timings for Prophet’s Birthday Holiday

The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) of Dubai has announced  Free Parking and Service Timings for Prophet’s Birthday Holiday on the 5th of September 2025. Indeed, you have read it right! Parking will be free across the emirate on the significant religious holiday. However,  multi-level parking facilities and Al Khail Gate Parking (N.365) will be exempted from this. It is important to note that the paid parking will be resumed the next day, i.e, the 6th of September 2025, Saturday. 

Adjusted Working Hours During the Holiday

The RTA confirmed the changes in the timings of many services, like Customer Happiness Centres, Dubai Metro, Dubai Tram, public buses, marine transport, and vehicle testing centres. Below are the timing details of these services:

  • All customer happiness centres will remain closed on the holiday this Friday. However, Smart Customer Happiness Centres in  Al Barsha, Al Tawar, Umm Ramool, Deira, and RTA’s Head Office will remain open as they operate 24/7.
  • Metro Red and Green Lines will increase their service hours on Friday. Thus, it will run from 5:00 am to 1:00 am the next day. So, it ensures smoother travel for residents and visitors.
  • Timings for Dubai dams and public services will align with the adjusted Metro schedule to provide uninterrupted connectivity across the city.
  • RTA has advised passengers and motorists to check the official platforms for detailed schedules to avoid inconvenience.

The RTA of Dubai has highlighted its commitment to ease smooth transport operations during the public holidays, like the Prophet’s Birthday Holiday. In addition, this effort ensures residents and tourists have the ability to move across the city without facing any problems. 

Moreover, free parking on this significant day aims to reduce congestion and ease travel across the emirate. In addition, the free parking supports the celebration of the religious occasion of the community. So, residents and tourists can now enjoy and celebrate the big day without any tension.

It is true that the RTA has cleared the rules related to special arrangements on the 5th of September 2025.  Therefore, it would be best to check the official portal of the authority along with its smart mobile app for real-time updates on transport schedules, parking details, and customer services.
