Dubai Weather Update: Humid Start to the Week With Cloudy Skies

Residents across the emirates can expect a humid start to the week. However, the Dubai weather, along with the weather of other emirates in the country, might be partly to mostly cloudy skies. According to the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM), overnight humidity is expected to rise significantly, particularly in the coastal region. Moreover, this condition might extend into the early hours of Monday morning.

Hot Temperatures in Dubai and Abu Dhabi

Daytime temperature is on the higher side as the summer continues. However, forecasts predict Dubai will record a high of 40°C and a low of 31°C. On the other hand, Abu Dhabi is expected to be slightly warmer with highs of 41°C and lows of 31°C.

22.7°C in Raknah, Al Ain, was the minimum temperature recorded in the UAE as of Sunday morning. Hence, it gives a short relief from the heat.

Cloud Cover and Possible Fog Formation

The NCM reports that Dubai and Abu Dhabi will witness partly cloudy skies. However, there could be an interval of heavier cloud cover today. Therefore, residents are advised to remain cautious during the late-night and early-morning hours because mist or light fog formation is possible, especially in the low-lying areas.

Winds and Dust Warnings

Light to moderate winds are expected to blow from southwesterly to northwesterly throughout the day. However, the speed might reach up to 35 km/hr, which could potentially stir up dust in the open areas. So, it could decreases visibility for motorists.

Calm Sea Conditions

The Arabian Gulf and the Oman Sea are forecast to stay calm with only slight wave activity. So, it could be favorable conditions for marine activities. However, humidity and dust could affect the visibility across the coastal region.

What Dubai Residents Should Expect

The combination of warm weather and humidity is expected to make conditions feel more hotter than the actual readings. So, authorities suggest that the residents ‌should stay hydrated, limit outdoor activities during peak hours, and be alert while driving in foggy conditions.

Expert Dubai Weather Monitoring

The National Centre of Meteorology is providing regular updates and advisories to ensure public safety. In addition, the authority is monitoring wind patterns, temperature fluctuation, and coastal condition. So, the NCM is making sure to ensure residents stay informed with the weather updates.
