This is because the Dubai Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has announced its 119th Open Auction for distinguished number plates, which features 90 exclusive 2, 3, 4, and 5-digit plates across codes AA, BB, K, L, M, N, P, Q, T, U, V, W, X, Y, and Z.
Super Numbers Up for Grabs At Open Auction
BB 88 and BB 777 “super numbers” are the two premium numbers that are among the highlights of the auction. Moreover, these plates are expected to spark competitive bidding due to their rarity and appeal to collectors and prestige-driven motorists. RTA’s auctions have long been a hallmark event. Auction Details & Registration
The event is going to happen on Saturday, 20 September, at 4:30 pm at the Grand Hyatt Dubai Hotel. However, the registration will open on September 22, Monday. You can complete the registration by the following spots mentioned below:
- Through the official RTA website (www.rta.ae)
- At Customer Happiness Centres in Umm Ramool, Deira, and Al Barsha
- At the auction venue itself from 2:00 pm on the day of the event
Since seating is restricted, priority is going to be given to the registered bidders.
Requirements for Bidders
The following are the requirements that you must meet to participate in this auction:
- Hold a valid Dubai traffic file
- Submit a Dh25,000 security deposit (via cheque payable to RTA)
- Pay a non-refundable registration fee of Dh120
You can make payments through a credit card or online. Hence, it offers flexible options for participants. In addition, the sale of plates is subject to a 5 percent VAT under the UAE tax regulation.
