UAE: The Global Capital of Entrepreneurship – New Nationwide Campaign Launched

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister of the UAE, and Ruler of Dubai, has officially launched a landmark campaign, “ UAE: The Global Capital of Entrepreneurship”.  Notably, it is aimed at positioning the  United Arab Emirates (UAE) as the leading hub for innovation, startups, and business growth. 

Empowering Emirati Entrepreneurs

More than 50 public and private sectors are going to collaborate to train and support 10,000 Emirati entrepreneurs. Moreover, the program is expected to create thousands of new economic opportunities. Plus, it equipe youth with the skills and resources that are needed to create businesses and contribute to the dynamic economy of the country. 

Sheikh Mohammed said, “We want our youth to create their own companies. It contributes to our economic development and seizes the immense opportunities our national economy offers.” In short, the campaign has an aim to empower youth to begin their own businesses to support the economy of the nation. 

Strong Government and Private Sector Support

The UAE Cabinet will introduce the new initiative under this campaign to request ministries, institutions, and private entities to actively participate. Moreover, it is about building startups and wider societal awareness of the entrepreneurship’s important to shape the future of the UAE. With this campaign, the nation is aligning the national policies with the private sector expertise to ensure long-term growth and sustainability. 

UAE’s Growing Entrepreneurial Ecosystem

The country already has 50 business incubators. Plus, the nation boasts a growing SME sector that contributes more than 63% of the non-oil GDP of the UAE. Moreover, this ecosystem plays an important role in the vision of making the nation a global entrepreneurial capital.

Internationally, the UAE ranks one of the 56 economies for SME support and competitiveness. Hence, it highlights its progressive policies, world-class infrastructure, and investor-friendly environment.
