Saudi National Day 2025: Fireworks, Naval Shows & Public Holiday Announced

Saudi Arabia is preparing for a spectacular celebration of the 95th Saudi National Day on Tuesday, September 23, 2025. However, the day commemorates the historic unification of the kingdom in 1935 under King Abdulaziz Al Saud. Moreover, this year, the celebration will carry the official theme, “Our Pride Lies in Our Nature”. Hence, it shows the cultural roots of Saudi Arabia and its natural heritage. 

 Fireworks Across the Kingdom

Saudi National Day 2025

The nationwide firework display is one of the most awaited highlights of the Saudi National Day 2025. Moreover, skies across the following cities will come alive with the dazzling fireworks at 9 PM:

  • Riyadh (Banban)
  • Jeddah (Jeddah Promenade)
  • Dammam (Waterfront)
  • Medina (King Fahd Central Park)
  • Taif (Al-Raddaf Park)

However, Najran will host the display a day later on September 24 at King Saud Park. 

Jeddah and Riyadh are the top spots for the residents in the  United Arab Emirates (UAE) who are visiting Saudi Arabia during the festive period. However, they should get ready for the large crowd in the country. 

Naval and Air Shows Add a New Dimension

This year, the celebration is extended beyond the land and skies because the naval shows are set to join the line-up. We have listed the following details about these attractions:

  • Jeddah: Visitors can witness naval fleets, marine commando displays, biker parades, and exhibitions of military equipment from 4 pm to 9 pm at the Yacht Club. The Sea Falcon aircraft will perform stunning aerial stunts.
  • Jubail: Jubail’s program includes paratrooper jumps, diving shows, folkloric performances, and aerial tricks by Super Puma and Sea Falcon aircraft starting at 3.45 pm at Fanateer Beach. Motrover, sea drone showcase will run until 10 pm, which makes it a first-of-its-kind attraction.

Public Holiday Across Saudi Arabia

Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development has confirmed the 23rd of September as the public holiday for government and public sector workers. Moreover, schools, banks, and government offices will stay closed for the day. Thus, it allows families to join the celebration. 

Why Saudi National Day 2025 Matters?

The occasion is more than fireworks and parades because it showcases unity, pride, and progress. Moreover, it was first celebrated in 1965 under King Faisal. however, it gets the permanent recognition as a holiday in 2005 by King Abdullah. Now, it is growing in scales and significance with time passing.
