Wynn Al Marjan on Track for 2027 Opening: UAE’s First Integrated Gaming Resort

The highly awaited Wynn Al Marjan integrated Resort in Ras Al Khaimah is progressing on schedule. Moreover, the officials confirmed that it will open in 2027. In an exclusive interview with the Khaleej Times,  Abdulla Al Abdouli, CEO of Marjan, shared that the work is in progress. Moreover, he said, “If you look at the site, you will see a lot of work happening. March 2027 is approaching soon”.

UAE’s First Integrated Gaming Resort

Marjan is a joint venture between the US-based Wynn Resorts and RAK Hospitality Holiday. Wynn Resorts grabbed the first commercial gaming license in the UAE in 2024. Hence, the company is launching the first integrated gaming resort. Hence, it is making a milestone for the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) hospitality sector. Moreover, it will be the 70-storey resort, which has already reached its 61st floor as of August 2025.

Luxury Amenities and Economic Impact

The resort is set to offer 1542 hotel keys, including 22 food and beverage lounges, entertainment venues, and lifestyle experiences. Moreover, Abdouli highlighted the wider economic impact.

He said, “Many companies are going to be created there. It will be an important part of the economy of Ras Al Khaimah.”Wynn Al Marjan is created on its own island, which is spread over 60 hectares. Moreover, it is extending into the Arabian Gulf. In addition, it is expected to contribute significantly to the tourism sector of the emirate.

Hiring and Employment Opportunities at Wynn Al Marjan

Hiring for the resort is already underway. As of September 21, 78 positions are open for hiring after the onboarding of 80 employees in April. In addition, there are plans to reach around 300 staff by year-end. Moreover, Wynn Resorts CEO Craig Billings predicts that the UAE gaming market could reach up to $5 billion, which makes the venture a key driver for the tourism and investment.

RAK Expansion and Tourism Growth

The announcement comes after the completion of the infrastructure works of Marjan for the RAK Central. Since it is set to host its first enterprises by 2027, RAK Central is going to feature a hospitality and residential project. Hence, it further supports the growth strategy of the Emirates.

Abdouli highlighted that the Ras Al Khaimah Tourism Development Authority aims to attract more than 3.5 million by 2030. Therefore, it highlights the need for more hospitality keys and active investor participation.
