Dubai Grants Golden Visas to 200+ Outstanding Educators

Dubai has awarded golden visas to more than 200 exceptional educators under the directive of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defence, and Chairman of The Executive Council of Dubai. 

Honouring Teachers on World Teachers’ Day

The campaign was first announced on World Teachers’ Day to celebrate those who play an important role in shaping the knowledge-driven future of Dubai. Moreover, Sheikh Hamdan also highlighted the importance of the move. 

He said, “Teachers and educators light the way forward. They motivate, guide, and equip our children with the skills to succeed. Supporting them is one of the best investments in the future of Dubai”. 

Dubai is appreciating the values of knowledge, integrity, and services through the Golden Visa programme. Moreover, it supports its dedication to making schools and universities growing spaces for the next generation.  

Selection and Results

The first phase of the campaign saw 435 applications and 223 educators (53%) successfully selected. Moreover, the evaluation process focused on evaluation process focused on qualifications, achievements, community contributions, and student-parent feedback. 

However, demographic factors such as nationality, gender, or years of experience are excluded from this process to ensure fairness. In addition, the following are the top details about it:

  • 157 Golden Visas were granted to school staff
  • 60 to the university faculty
  • 6 to early childhood centre educators

Senior leaders, teachers, librarians, and social workers are recipients of these visas. Moreover, special recognitions were awarded to those with published research, community service, and national education awards.

Supporting the E33 Education Strategy

This campaign is a part of the Education 33 (E33) strategy of Dubai, created to empower teachers and attract world-class talent. In addition, it positions the city as a global hub for education excellence. Moreover, Dubai is empowering its vision of boosting innovation, inclusivity, and world-leading academic standards.

Next Round of Applications for Golden Visas 

The second round of applications for this campaign is going to open from the 15th of October to the 15th of December 2025.  However, eligible candidates from private early childhood centres, schools, and international higher education institutions across Dubai are able to be apply. Moreover, Dubai continues to honour the role of educators as the nation builders with such steps. Hence, it ensures that they are at the heart of its ambitious future.
