Wizz Air Returns to Abu Dhabi With Flights Starting at Just Dh100: New Routes Announced

After a brief suspension earlier this year, Wizz Air is coming back to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) skies with a new set of ultra-low-cost flights. Moreover, the airline with resume its operations from Abu Dhabi to Larnaca (Cyprus) from the 15th of November 2025. 

Plus, the flight between Abu Dhabi to Sofia (Bulgaria) will resume from November 17. However, the fares will start as low as Dh100 for Larnaca and Dh300 for Sofia. Hence, it is offering the UAE residents a cost-effective way to explore‌ Europe. 

This decision comes after the earlier decision of this airline to suspend its operation from September 1, 2025, due to geopolitical tensions, regulatory challenges, and stiff competition from other low-cost carriers. However, it has now decided to reintroduce select routes after a reassessment of the regional market conditions. 

Wizz Air: New European Routes Open for Booking

Besides its Cyprus and Bulgaria routes, the airline has opened bookings for flights from Poland to Abu Dhabi at starting fares of just Dh312 (309 Polish Zloty). Moreover, the new connection from Katowice and Krakow is going to begin on November 20, 2025. Hence, it empowers travel links between Eastern Europe and the UAE capital.

The routes from Bucharest (November 30), Budapest (December 1), and Larnaca (December 14) are part of the further expansion plans. Hence, all part of the strategy of the airline to make Abu Dhabi more accessible to budget-conscious travelers.
