UAE Weekend Weather Forecast: Cooler Temperatures, Cloudy Skies, and Rain Expected Across the Country

Residents across the  United Arab Emirates (UAE) should stay prepared for a shift in the UAE weekend weather as an extension id a surface low-pressure system. However, this system is occupied with an upper-level low, bringing a cold and humid air mass.

Moreover, it is going to lead to unstable weather conditions from Friday to Sunday. Do you know the result? Cloudy skies, scattered rainfall, and a noticeable drop in temperatures across the Emirates will be the outcome.

According to the National Center of Meteorology (NCM),  the nation is going to experience cooler-than-usual conditions. However, some regions are likely to see occasional heavy rain and even hail in isolated areas.

Friday and Saturday: Cloudy with Rain and Dusty Winds

The weather is expected to turn partly cloudy to cloudy across much of the nation on Friday and Saturday (11 and 12 October). However, there is a chance for the light to moderate rainfall, particularly in the northern and eastern regions. However, it may become heavy sometimes in the nation. In addition, the rainfall could also extend to the inland and western areas intermittently.

Residents can expect a drop in daytime temperature, which will provide relief from the warm weather. However, the winds are expected to shift to northwesterly, which will initially run from southeasterly to northeasterly. In addition, they will become active to strong at time. Hence, this might reduce horizontal visibility in some open areas due to rising dust and sand with strong winds.

The Arabian Gulf and the Sea of Oman are forecast to be slightly to moderately. However, the conditions might turn rough under cloudy conditions. Hence, seafarers and fishermen are strongly advised to stay alert.

Sunday, October 12, 2025: Continued Cloud Activity and Strong Winds

The unsettled pattern will stay into Sunday. So, fair to partly cloudy skies are expected throughout the day. Moreover, the formation of convective clouds will continue, especially in the north and east. However, it could extend towards some internal, southern, and island regions. Yet, these clouds are likely to bring the periodic rainfall with the gusty winds.

On the other hand, winds will also follow the pattern of Friday and Saturday.  It will blow from the southeast to northeast, but it will later shift to the northwest direction. Plus, there is a chance of fresh to strong gusts, especially during cloud activity. Moreover, the gust speed could potentially reach 50 km/h. In addition, this could again cause blowing dust and sand, which could lower visibility on roads and in open areas.

Sea conditions are going to range from slight to moderate. However, it could turn rough during periods of cloud development over the Arabian Gulf and Sea of Oman.
