Ras Al Khaimah’s food and beverage (F&B) sector is seeing strong momentum because of a 150 percent surge in restaurant partnerships and the growing popularity of cloud kitchens. Moreover, this transformation shows the expanding economy of the emirate with rising consumer demand for diverse dining experiences, and the government’s ongoing efforts to empower entrepreneurs. In short, the Ras Al Khaimah Food Sector is growing immensely.
According to industry data presented at the Entrepreneurs Forum 2025, restaurant partnerships across the emirate have significantly increased. Hence, it highlights local and international interest in the dynamic business environment of the emirate.
Cloud Kitchens Fueling Growth
Talabat is one of the leading food delivery platforms in the UAE. However, it was revealed during the Entrepreneur Forum 2025 that its cloud kitchen operations in Ras Al Khaimah have played an important role in this expansion. Moreover, these state-of-the-art facilities allow restaurants within and outside the emirate to expand their operations efficiently.
More than 30 restaurants have joined the campaign. However, it reports a growth rate extending 75 percent, and local establishments have recorded sales increases of up to 120 percent. Moreover, this momentum has contributed to a 90 percent rise in customer engagement. Hence, it shows how technology and innovation are shaping the F&B landscape.
Empowering Entrepreneurs and Home-Based Businesses
The Entrepreneurs Forum 2025 is held under the patronage of Sheikh Mohammed bin Kayed Al Qasimi, Chairman of the Ras Al Khaimah Department of Economic Development (RAK DED). Hence, it has become a base event for business innovation.
Aisha Obaid Al Ayyan, Director of the Business Development Department at RAK DED, highlighted that the forum was created based on feedback from local entrepreneurs and startups. Moreover, she added, “We gathered the insights on the services they want, the partnership they seek, and the offers that would truly benefit them – and incorporated all of that into this year’s forum.”
A home-based entrepreneur who attended the forum to explore the digital payment solution was the highlighted success story. She was able to identify the best provider for her business by comparing platforms and evaluating costs. Hence, it sets an example of how small ventures can transition into scaled enterprises through strategic learning and access to resources.
Business Support and Digital Transformation in the Ras Al Khaimah Food Sector
The forum featured 10 companies to offer exclusive business matchmaking opportunities and special deals. Plus, this event was divided into two segments. One was the live presentation where companies showed their services to the forum audience. On the other hand, there was an interactive session was the second segment that allowed entrepreneurs to discuss tailored solutions linked with their business goals.
Participating companies were grouped by sectors to ensure relevance. For example, Foodic, a leading restaurant management platform, focuses on helping cafes and restaurants to streamline their operations using digital management tools. On the other hand, other exhibitors have expertise in payment gateways, logistics, and e-commerce integration. However, they cater to the needs of home-based and small businesses.
Similarly, Etisalat by e& highlighted its vision for digital transformation and artificial intelligence (AI) adoption across key business functions. Moreover. Hassan Al Ali, Vice President of Sales at Etisalat by e&, detailed plans to integrate AI into HR, finance, and marketing processes to improve efficiency and decision-making.
Moreover, he also revealed that a start-up support package includes Wi-Fi, CCTV, and digital payment systems. However, these packages are especially targeted at small and medium enterprises (SMEs) and home-based entrepreneurs.
