UAE Weather Forecast: Cooler Skies Expected on Sunday, October 19

The National Center of Meteorology (NCM)  has forecast that the UAE weather in many parts of the country could experience light rainfall and cooler weather conditions on Sunday, October 19. According to the latest weather update, convective clouds are expected to form in the eastern regions by afternoon. Thus, it could bring a chance of scattered rainfall. 

The development comes as the country transitions deeper into the autumn season. However, a slow drop in temperatures and varying weather patterns are also predicted across the  United Arab Emirates (UAE). 

Slight Drop in Temperature Across the UAE Weather 

The NCM stated that the overall skies are going to be fair to partly cloudy across the UAE. However, the temperature will slowly decrease compared to early this week. Plus, the maximum temperatures are expected to reach 37°C in Dubai and Abu Dhabi. Hence, it could offer a brief respite from the recent heat. 

The highest recorded temperature across the country was  37.7°C, observed in Al Shawamekh, Abu Dhabi, at 1:45 pm local time on Saturday, October 18. Thus, it highlights the still-warm conditions in some parts of the country. 

Fog and Mist Expected Overnight

The daytime might bring light rainfall in some areas across the nation. However, the night and early Monday morning are expected to be humid across coastal and inland regions. Moreover, the NCM has also warned of the possibility of fog or mist formation, especially during the early morning hours. So, it could affect the visibility on the roads. 

Therefore, motorists and drivers are requested to stay alert during the foggy period. Moreover, it is especially recommended while driving along highways and coastal routes in the country. 

Winds and Sea Conditions 

The UAE weather report further reveals that light to moderate southeasterly winds will prevail during the day. However, it could later shift to northwesterly as the evening approaches. Moreover, these winds might freshen up at times, which could lead to blowing dust and sand, especially in open areas. 

The speed of the winds is expected to range between 10 km/hr to 25 km/hr. However, it could occasionally reach up to 40 km/hr throughout the day. On the other hand, the sea conditions are predicted to stay slight in the Oman Sea and the Arabian Gulf. Hence, it ensures safe marine and fishing activities on both seas. 

Residents Advised to Stay Updated

The NCM is continuously monitoring the cloud formations and the weather developments across the country closely. Thus, you are suggested to follow the official weather bulletins and updates from the NCM to stay informed about the changing conditions, especially if planning outdoor activities or intercity travels. 

The  United Arab Emirates (UAE) is currently seeing more pleasant mornings and evenings due to autumn temperatures beginning to settle in. Hence, it makes it a perfect time for outdoor recreation. On the other hand, the NCM highlights that fog, mist, and blowing dust could still pose visibility challenges during early and late hours.
