Dubai Ride 2025: Iconic Cycling Event Returns This Sunday

Dubai is getting ready for the most-awaited Dubai Ride 2025, which is the most exciting annual fitness event. However, the 6th edition will take place on the 2nd of November 2025. Moreover, it is part of the Dubai Fitness Challenge (DFC) and presented by DP World.

It invites residents of all ages and fitness levels to experience the most iconic landmarks of the city, including Sheikh Zayed Road and the Burj Khalifa, in a car-free cycling experience. Plus, the Dubai Ride offers something for casual cyclists, a family seeking a fun weekend activity, or a seasoned rider craving a challenge. 

How to Register for Dubai Ride 2025

Registration is still open on the official website dubairide.com/register. However, all registered riders are required to collect bibs before the event because they are not allowed to participate without them. Moreover, the Bib collection is available at the Dubai Municipality 30×30 Fitness Village, Zabeel Park, from October 29 to November 1. The following is the timing of the bib collection:

  • Wednesday & Thursday: 4 pm – 11 pm
  • Friday: 12 pm – 11 pm
  • Saturday: 8 am – 11 pm

Participants are required to bring their QR code for the Bib collection. 

Two Scenic Routes to Choose From

Dubai Ride 2025

Dubai Ride 2025 offers two exciting and traffic-free routes designed for different skill levels. Below are the details related to  those routes:

1. 4km Downtown Family Routes

The route is perfect for beginners and families because this loop circles Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Boulevard to pass iconic landmarks like Dubai Mall, Dubai Opera, and Burj Khalifa. Moreover, the route is flat, safe, and ideal for riders of all ages. However, the starting point of this route is Downtown Dubai. 

2. 12km Sheikh Zayed Road Route

This longer route is ideal for seasoned riders as it runs from the Dubai World Trade Centre to Safa Park, which features a climb over the Dubai Canal Bridge. However, it has multiple starting points. The following is the list of those points:

  • Museum of the Future
  • Al Satwa
  • Coca-Cola Arena
  • Business Bay
  • Lower Financial Street

Event timings

  • Start: 6:15am
  • Gates close: 7:30 am
  • Finish by: 8:15 am (roads reopen after this)

As a rider, you are encouraged to finish the ride on the same route you started from. However, there will be event marshals available at the event to assist you with the routes. 

Dubai Ride Speed Laps for Advanced Cyclists

If you visit the venue early, you can push your limits on the Dubai Ride Speed Laps. However, it is a thrilling pre-event challenge for experienced cyclists. Moreover, the exact details about this lap are mentioned:

  • Time: 5:00 am – 6:00 am
  • Route: 12km Sheikh Zayed Road loop (from Museum of the Future to Safa Park and back)
  • Starting point: Gate A – Museum of the Future
  • Minimum speed: 30km/h

Only road bikes are allowed. Remember, TT and aero bars are not allowed. Moreover, you can register yourself for this activity at dubairide.com/speed-laps. You can collect the bib from Zabeel Park Fitness Village during the same timings as the main event.

Free Bike Rentals from Careem Bike

This year, Careem Bike is joining hands with the Dubai Ride 2025 to offer free rental bikes for all participants. The following is the list of steps to redeem your free ride:

  1. Open the Careem app and tap on Bike.
  2. Select Single Trip Pass and enter promo code DR25 at checkout.
  3. Pick up your bike between 3 am and 8 am on November 2 from:
  • Entrance A: Museum of the Future (Trade Centre Street)
  • Entrance E: Lower Financial Centre Street
  • Or from any of the 200+ Careem Bike stations across Dubai.

Note:

  • Bring your own helmet.
  • Card details are required for security, but no rental fees apply between 3 am and 8 am.
  • Free rides are first-come, first-served, and extra-time charges are waived during this period.
