Dubai has once again proved its global reputation for innovation and excellence as it set a new Guinness World Record during the Beautyworld Middle East 2025 event at the Dubai World Trade Centre. However, the record was achieved for the most beard trims and shaves completed in one hour by a team, which is an entirely new category introduced for this year’s edition.
It started as a simple grooming session for visitor Mohammed Nour Adwan soon turned into an unforgettable moment in history. Adwan said, “I just thought it would be a regular beard trim. But then people started cheering, cameras were flashing, and I realised something big was happening – I was a part of the world record”.
The Record-Breaking Setup: 48 Barbers, 24 Stations
The event was organised under BeautyLive by Fresha in collaboration with STMNT Grooming. It brought together 48 skilled barbers from across the GCC and Lebanon. Moreover, they worked simultaneously across 24 grooming stations, each managed by a stylist and assistant.
Participants could walk in, register, and receive a professional beard trim or shave as part of the historic attempt. However, 190 men were groomed within 60 minutes in total. Hence, it means each barber worked on nearly four clients in just 1 hour. However, the collective effort resulted in a beard trim every 19 seconds. Hence, it is a testament to the speed, precision, and coordination of the team.
Every move was timed, recorded, and verified by Guinness World Records officials to ensure compliance with strict global standards.
A New Category in Guinness World Records at Beautyworld Middle East 2025
This was not an attempt to make a record. Instead, it was the creation of a brand-new category. Hence, the organisers worked closely with Guinness World Records to define the title and its rules. Hence, it marks a first in global grooming competition for New Guinness World Record for Most Beard Trims.
As the adrenaline-filled hour came to an end, the hall erupted in cheers as the adjudicator announced, “All the guidelines were adhered to. The most consecutive beard trims or shaves completed in one hour by a team is 190, congratulations.” The announcement has confirmed the latest addition to the record books of Dubai. Hence, it further solidifies its standing as the hub for world-class events.
Celebrating Craft, Unity, and Passion
The record symbolised more than just numbers for the barbers. However, it was about pride, teamwork, and recognition of their craft. Khaled Kabboul from Director’s Cut said, “The moment is huge for us. All working in perfect sync was incredible to stand shoulder with 47 other barbers. We showed that barbering is not only a service-it is an art, a skill, and a community”
Another participant, Amir Manzour from Mantis Barbershop, described it as one of the proudest moments of his career. He said, “We trimmed and shaved nonstop for an hour-it was an intense but fulfilling experience. You could feel the unity and passion in that room”.
