The United Arab Emirates is set to celebrate the UAE flag day tomorrow, i.e, the 3rd of November 2025. However, it is a nationwide celebration to honour the unwavering unity, leadership, and national identity of the country. Tomorrow, the UAE flag will rise across ministries, public institutions, schools, and private organisations exactly at 11 AM. Therefore, it symbolises loyalty, respect, and pride in the nation’s achievements and vision.
The celebration of the UAE flag day is a reflection of deep patriotism shared by Emiratis and residents. However, both of them will proudly renew their pledge to the UAE and its founding principles.
Leadership Message – Renewing Commitment to the Nation

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai, called upon all citizens and residents to take part in raising the UAE flag tomorrow.
His Highness stated in the message on X, “Brothers and sisters, on 3rd November we will celebrate the flag day – a yearly event on which we renew our pledge, reaffirm our loyalty, and express our loyalty, and express our love for the UAE flag, the symbol of our sovereignty and the flag of our union”.
The message highlights the enduring values of the UAE, which include solidarity, peace, coexistence, and unity under the national vision and leadership.
A Tribute to Legacy — History of UAE Flag Day

The UAE flag day is a big moment in the national calendar that was first celebrated in 2013. However, the day is the anniversary of the late Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan’s accession as President in 2004. Since then, this occasion has turned into a deeply patriotic national tradition. Moreover, this event also makes the way clear for the celebration of Eid Al Etihad (UAE National Day) in December.
It is important to note that the day will not be a public holiday. However, its emotional and cultural importance is invaluable. Hence, it reflects the journey of the country from unity to global leadership.
Values of Coexistence and Peace
Flag Day is not merely a traditional event. Instead, it symbolises the following messages:
- Unity among all communities
- Respect and tolerance
- Commitment to peaceful coexistence
- Celebration of diversity
Currently, the UAE is home to more than 200 nationalities. Hence, they embrace this day as a reminder of its global role as a nation of harmony, development, and opportunity.
Official Guidelines for UAE Flag Display
Authorities have also introduced reminders for proper flag etiquette to maintain the dignity of the national emblem. Below are those key reminders:
- UAE flag must be rectangular, with the height half its width
