Abu Dhabi Launches Summer Safety Campaign to Prevent Fires, Drowning, and Travel Incidents

The temperature in the entire United Arab Emirates (UAE) is reaching the sky, and residents are preparing for the summer vacation. So, Abu Dhabi launches summer safety campaign to prevent home fires, travel-related mishaps, and pool accidents. 

The campaign was launched through the alliance between the Abu Dhabi Police General Headquarters and the Abu Dhabi Civil Defence Authority. Significantly, this marks the sixth iteration of the “safe summer” initiative, designed to improve security, home safety, and overall community happiness. 

It will be effective until August 31, 2025. Moreover, it focuses on raising public awareness related to the preventive measures and important requirements for the hot season. Keep reading to learn tricks to live a happier and safer summer. 

Field initiatives and awareness drives

As part of the campaign, the Abu Dhabi Civil Defence Authority will hold awareness programs and field initiatives aimed at preventing fires and accidents during the hot season. It focuses on educating people about preventive measures and essential safety protocols. 

 The campaign also aims to increase fire prevention efforts during the summer months. In addition, it will provide parents with a message to teach children in the swimming areas. Moreover, the campaign is going to encourage families to take essential safety precautions at home.  

Abu Dhabi launches summer safety campaign, focusing  on child safety in pools and parked vehicles

As we told you before,  the police’s comprehensive summer awareness campaign is focused on teaching people the essential guidelines to ensure a safe summer season. Moreover, the campaign highlights the importance of parental supervision. 

Police have urged families not to leave children alone in the swimming pool. Moreover, the officials have also urged not to leave them alone in a locked car while shopping. These incidents could lead to major incidents like suffocation. 

Campaign warns against dangers of violent e-games

Besides protecting them from accidents, the campaign also aimed to protect children and teenagers from violent e-games that could boost aggression within them. Moreover, these games could lead to serious psychological issues, like addiction, isolation, and detachment from the real world. 

The awareness drive uses many communication channels, like digital, audiovisual, and print media. In addition, it uses community gathering and direct engagement with the public or real people. Furthermore, it will provide you with practical advice and guidance for safe driving practices to reduce accidents. 

Protect your home and essentials while travelling 

Police have also underscored the importance of the safety of your home and valuable assets while going to travel. Officials have requested people to follow the police and security advisory to protect their homes, property, and the lives of themselves and their loved ones. 

Residents who are planning to travel are advised to take preventive measures to avoid fires in their homes in their absence. The police have also suggested storing the valuable asset in either banks or well-secured safes. Moreover, you can use smart systems linked to alarm devices. 

Drive Safely

Police have encouraged drivers of both two-wheelers and four-wheeler vehicles to check their tyres to ensure their safety. It is necessary to ensure tyres are free from damage or cracks that could lead to a serious accidents. Moreover, motorists are advised to follow the safety guidelines to prevent vehicle fires due to extreme heat. 

Report Violation through the “Aman” Service

The Civil Defence Authority mentioned the important role of the community in supporting the safety efforts. Moreover, it has urged people and institutions to follow the safety regulations and adopt responsible behaviour.
