ADAFSA Becomes World’s First to Receive ISO 42001:2023 for AI Management in Agriculture

The Agriculture and Food Safety Authority (ADAFSA) has become the first organization in the global food safety sector to receive the ISO 42001:2023 certification for AI Management in agriculture. Moreover, this landmark achievement also makes the ADAFSA the first UAE government body to get this certificate. So, it empowers the country’s position as the pioneer in ethical and innovative AI integration. 

 AI management in Agriculture Aligns With UAE AI Strategy 2031

Dr. Tariq Al Ameri, Acting Director General of ADAFSA,  said that the certificate supports the authority’s mission to boost food security, promote sustainable agriculture,  and drive digital transformation through cutting-edge AI technology. The initiative is closely connected to Abu Dhabi’s mission and the broader UAE AI strategy 2031. So it ensures AI adoption and is responsibly managed. 

Omar Sultan Al Olama, Minister of State for Artificial Intelligence, also highlighted that the ADAFSA for setting a global benchmark in the digital transformation and sustainable innovation, especially in important sectors like agriculture and food safety.
