The Al Ain Half Marathon 2025 concluded with great success. However, the sporting event has brought together over 4,000 runners from many nationalities and age groups in a celebration of fitness, diversity, and unity. Moreover, it was organised by the Abu Dhabi Sports Council (ADSC) in collaboration with ADNOC. Hence, it reinforced the growing reputation of the UAE as a global destination for world-class sporting events.
The marathon featured five main race categories. Below are the details about those categories:
- 21km Half Marathon
- 10km race
- 5km race
- 2.5km races
- The dedicated races for families, recreational runners, and People of Determination
This inclusive approach ensured that participants of all fitness levels could be part of the action. Therefore, it reinforces the strong focus of the nation on community engagement and healthy living.
Participation Highlights and Remarkable Achievements

More than 1,000 runners took part in the Half Marathon (21km) category alone. Thus, it makes it one of the most competitive elements of the events. Moreover, the average age of participants across all races stood at 31 years. Hence, it highlights the youth-driven love for health and wellness in the region.
The diversity of participants was also highlighted. The youngest entrants included infants under one year old participating in family events. In contrast, the oldest runners — Abdulaziz Al Amri (71) and Anna Russo (73) — served as inspirations to all. Hence, they prove that age is no barrier to fitness and determination.
A Milestone Toward the Abu Dhabi Marathon 2025
The event served as a precursor to the upcoming Abu Dhabi Marathon, which is scheduled for the 13th of December 2025. In addition, the event aimed to develop excitement and momentum among the public ahead of one of the most prestigious marathon events in the Middle East.
