This initiative is part of the UAE’s “Year of the Community,” which emphasizes social cohesion, community care, and cooperation among all members of society. Previously, complimentary entry was available only to those aged 70 and above, but by lowering the age threshold, Al Ain Zoo reaffirms its commitment to inclusivity and enhanced visitor experiences.

To ensure a comfortable and enjoyable visit, the Al Ain zoo features senior-friendly pathways, open spaces, transport vehicles, and wheelchair accessibility. Visitors can also request wheelchairs at the Visitor Happiness Office for added convenience.

By expanding this initiative, Al Ain Zoo continues to uphold its mission of creating a welcoming environment for all, encouraging senior citizens to engage with nature, wildlife, and conservation efforts in a meaningful way.
