Apple has officially introduced its iPhone 17 lineup at its annual fall event, themed “Awe Dropping”. In the event, the company revealed four new models – IPhone 17, iPhone Air, iPhone 17 Pro, and Pro Max. Additionally, the company announced the AirPods Pro 3 and Apple Watch Series 11.
iPhone 17 Series Highlights
Apple CEO Tim Cook called the launch the company’s “biggest leap ever for iPhone.” The new Apple iPhone 17 Air is the thinnest phone of the company at just 5.6mm. It is positioned between the standard iPhone and the Pro Model. Moreover, the new model is built from 80% recycled titanium that offers a sleek and durable design with a 6.5-inch ProMotion display, A19 Pro chip, and a 48MP camera. However, this model only works on eSIM.
On the other hand, iPhone 17 has finally gotten the much-awaited 120Hz ProMotion display and upgraded dual 48MP rear cameras. Meanwhile, the Pro and Pro Max models feature a redesigned new vapour cooling system, “plateau” back panel, and advanced camera technology, including 8x optical zoom on the Pro Max.
Apple has introduced a 2TB storage option for the Pro Max model, catering to power users for the first time.
UAE Prices and Availability
The United Arab Emirates is among the first markets throughout the world to receive the new iPhones. Pre-orders are going to begin on the 12th of September, Friday in the country. However, the availability will begin from the 19th of September 2025. However, you can see the pricing details below:
- iPhone 17: Starts from Dh3,399 (256GB) – available in lavender, mist blue, sage, white, and black.
- iPhone Air: Starts from Dh4,299 (256GB) – available in space black, cloud white, light gold, and sky blue.
- iPhone 17 Pro: Starts from Dh4,699 (256GB) – available in cosmic orange, deep blue, and silver.
- iPhone 17 Pro Max: Starts from Dh5,099 (256GB) – available in the same three finishes, with up to 2TB storage.
Beyond iPhones: AirPods and Apple Watch
Apple has also launched the Airpods Pro 3 with features like built-in heart rate sensors, stronger noise cancellation, and live translation across five languages at Dh949. However, they will be available from the 19th of September 2025.
The event also introduces the Apple Watch Series 11 with blood pressure monitoring and sleep scoring. However, the rugged Ultra 3 has satellite connectivity for adventure.
Software Update – iOS 26
Apple has confirmed that all devices will run on iOS 26 from the 15th of September 2025. Hence, it will bring Apple’s new “Liquid Glass” design with AI enhancement.
