Asia Cup 2025: Dubai Police Issue Strict Guidelines Ahead of India vs Pakistan Clash

Cricket fans are eagerly waiting for the high-voltage drama at the Asia Cup 2025 clash of India vs Pakistan on Sunday at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium. However, the Dubai Events Security Committee (ESC) has requested the spectators to uphold sportsmanship and strictly follow the rules. 

Full Security Preparedness

Assistant Commander-in-Chief for Operations at Dubai Police and Chairman of the ESC, Major General Saif Muhair Al Mazrouei, confirmed that specialized police units are fully prepared to secure the tournament. Moreover, he highlighted that any disruption or violation will be managed firmly to ensure the safety of fans, players, and officials. 

Major General Saif Muhair Al Mazrouei, said, “The UAE is popular for hosting world-class sporting events, and we expect all attendees to contribute to a safe and enjoyable atmosphere.”

Legal Penalties for Violations

Authorities highlighted that strict legal measures apply under the Federal Law on the Security of Sports Facilities and Events. We have mentioned the penalties for violation below:

  • Entering the pitch without authorisation or carrying banned items such as fireworks: 1–3 months imprisonment and AED 5,000–30,000 fines.
  • Acts of violence, throwing objects, or using racist/abusive language: Imprisonment plus fines ranging from AED 10,000–30,000.

Key Instructions for Fans

If you are entering the stadium to witness this iconic clash, you should follow the rules mentioned below:

  • Arrive at least 3 hours before kick-off (match starts at 6:30 PM).
  • Entry allowed only once per ticket.
  • Present a valid ticket at the gate.
  • Use designated parking areas because random parking is strictly prohibited.
  • Respect the list of banned items.

List of Prohibited Items at the India vs Pakistan Clash

The following is the list of banned items in the stadium during the clash:

  • Fireworks, flammable or toxic substances
  • Laser pointers, remote-controlled devices, and drones
  • Umbrellas, selfie sticks, large cameras, sharp objects
  • Glass items, power banks, food, or drinks from outside
  • Animals, flags, or banners

The ESC highlighted that these restrictions are in place to protect spectators, players, and officials. In addition, it preserves the reputation of the UAE for safe and family-friendly sporting events.
