The Asia Cup 2025 India squad was officially announced on Tuesday after a selection committee meeting led by BCCI Chief Selector Ajit Agarkar. Notably. Indian Skipper Suryakumar Yadav will lead the 15-member team. However, Shubman Gill is creating a strong return as a vice captain.
The announcement was slightly delayed due to heavy rain in Mumbai. Still, fans were eagerly waiting to see the final list. Now, India is aiming to defend their title. So, the squad has a good mix of experience and youth, especially in the batting lineup.

The return of Shubmann Gill became one of the biggest talking points because he secured a place in the team and got the vice-captain role. As per the selector, he is set to fill the no. 3 slots in the squad. On the other hand, Sanju Samson and Abhishek Sharma are likely to play the role of the opening pair.
This decision has put Yashasvi Jaiswal out of the main playing squad. Still, he will travel with the team to the UAE as a reserve player of the team. So, his fans can expect him to see in the main squad based on the situation.

Tournament Details
