The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has officially released the tentative date sheets for the upcoming CBSE Board Exams 2026 for Class 10 and Class 12 students. Moreover, the examinations are scheduled to start on 17 February 2026. However, it will continue until July 15, 2026. Moreover, these exams will cover the main exams, vocational subjects, sports categories, and supplementary exams.
Early Announcement for Better Preparation
The CBSE announced the schedule 146 days in advance to support students and schools with timely preparations. So, it makes it one of the earliest notifications in recent years. Moreover, this early release is expected to benefit the large number of CBSE students in the UAE, where many Indian schools follow the CBSE syllabus and curriculum.
Key Exam Dates
- Class 10 Exams: February 17 to March 18, 2026
- Class 12 Exams: February 17 to April 4, 2026
- Other Categories: Sports quota, second board, and supplementary exams will also be held during this window.
The examinations are going to be performed in a single morning shift starting from 10 am. Moreover, the detailed subject-wise timetable for Classes 10 and 12 has been made available.
Scale of the CBSE Board Exams 2026
The CBSE estimates that around 45 lakh students are going to appear in 204 subjects across India and 26 countries, including the United Arab Emirates (UAE). Hence, this makes the CBSE one of the largest educational boards for conducting international-level exams.
Evaluation & Result Timeline
As per CBSE guidelines, the evaluation of the answer script is going to start 10 days after each exam. Moreover, it is expected to be completed within 12 days. For example, the Class 12 Physics exam is scheduled on February 20, 2026. So, it will have its evaluation starting from the 3rd of March and concluding by the 15th of March 2026. Hence, this structured approach ensures timely result declaration for students who are applying for universities around the world.
Important Note for Students
The CBSE has confirmed that the current date sheet is tentative. However, the final and exact date sheet will be released after schools submit the list of candidates. So, students in the UAE are advised to stay in regular contact with their schools. In addition, they should prepare their preparation schedules accordingly.
