Dubai Airshow 2025 to Feature Electric Air Taxi Flights for the First Time

Dubai is all set to redefine the skies as the Dubai Airshow 2025 prepares for the most ambitious edition yet.  However, the edition is going to feature ‌live electric air taxi (eVTOL) flights for the first time in history. Moreover, it is scheduled to take place from the 17th of November to the 21st of November at Dubai World Central. Additionally, the event will showcase groundbreaking aircraft. Plus, it will also provide you with a glimpse into the future of sustainable urban mobility.

The event is one of the biggest attractions in Dubai. However, visitors who will attend this year’s event will witness the electric air taxis flying during the flying display. Plus, the eVOL demonstrations show a big step forward in Advanced Air Mobility (AAM). However, the sector focused on integrating electric propulsion, automated flight systems, and innovative air traffic management frameworks to support on-demand aerial transport in cities.

Tim Hawes, Managing Director at Informa Markets, highlighted the importance of the milestone. He said, “The inclusion of eVOLs goes beyond showcasing aircraft. It is about showing what is possible when vision, technology, and collaboration converge.”  The forward-thinking approach aligns perfectly with the dedication of Dubai to become a global leader in futuristic transportation. 

Dubai Airshow 2025: The Most Ambitious Edition Yet

The event is all set to host the largest-ever line-up because it will feature more than 200 aircraft across flying and static display. Moreover, the exhibits are going to span commercial, private, and military categories, which makes it a truly global aviation showcase. 

Many aircraft are making their debut in the Dubai Airshow. Below is the list of those aircraft:

  • COMAC C919 and C929 from China
  • Embraer KC-390 Millennium
  • Airbus A350-1000
  • Boeing 777-219ER

The diverse lineup highlights the role of Dubai as an international hub for aerospace innovation, where the leading manufacturers of the world and aviation experts converge to showcase the next-generation technologies.

  • 490 delegations
  • 350 speakers
  • Representatives from nearly 100 countries

The event is going to cover every aspect of the future of light, from defence technology and sustainable aviation to space innovation and advanced air mobility. Moreover, it will highlight emerging technologies and strengthen the position of Dubai as a world-class aviation and aerospace hub. 

Dubai Leading the Charge in Advanced Air Mobility

In addition, the introduction of the electric air taxis at the Airshow reinforces its reputation as a pioneer in smart mobility.  Moreover, the UAE has already successfully conducted test flights of air taxis in recent years.
