Dubai Courts Mandate Emirates ID for All Notary Transactions: What Residents Need to Know

The Dubai Court has announced that the Emirates ID will now serve as the primary and the only verification ID document for all notary public services across the city. Notably, it is a strategic move to boost the efficiency and simplify legal processes. However, the policy has come into effect immediately.   • The General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs (GDRFA)
  • Amer Centres across Dubai

Any error in the data of the Emirate ID could result in delays or denials of the notary public services. Officials from the Dubai Court highlighted, “To ensure seamless service delivery, it is important that all personal data connected to the Emirate ID is accurate and current.”
