Dubai is preparing for one of its biggest New Year’s Eve celebrations. Authorities have officially revealed Dubai NYE 2026 fireworks locations. Actually, it has confirmed 48 firework displays across 40 venues throughout the emirate. Moreover, the expanded plan aims to offer residents more viewing options while ensuring safety, smooth mobility, and world-class festivities.
Dubai NYE 2026 fireworks: Bigger, wider, safer

According to Dubai Police Headquarters and the Event Security Committee, the NYE 2026 celebrations will be held under the supervision of the Security Industry Regulatory Agency (SIRA), in coordination with multiple government entities. Moreover, spreading fireworks across dozens of locations helps reduce crowd congestion and allows people to celebrate near their homes.
Iconic landmarks such as Burj Khalifa, Downtown Dubai, Palm Jumeirah, Dubai Festival City, Dubai Creek Harbour, Bluewaters, Burj Al Arab, Expo City Dubai, Global Village, Atlantis The Palm, and Palm Jebel Ali will once again light up the skyline, alongside resorts, beaches, desert, destinations, and golf clubs.

Traffic updates and transport plan
Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has announced staggered road closures, especially around Downtown Dubai and Sheikh Zayed Road, from the afternoon of December 31. Therefore, motorists are advised to plan ahead and use alternative routes.
Dubai Metro will also operate non-stop for 43 hours to ease movement. Moreover, there will be extra services at big stations like Burj Khalifa/Dubai Mall, Business Bay, World Trade Centre, Financial Centre, and Emirates Towers. Authorities strongly encourage the use of public transport.
Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) will also operate a fleet of 14,000 taxis, 1,300 public buses, and 107 metro trains that 5,565 RTA employees will manage.

Massive security and medical readiness

Operations of this year are the most detailed in the history of the emirate. More than 23,000, including 9884 Dubai police officers and 13,502 private security personnel, will be deployed with 1,625 security patrols, 36 bicycle patrols, 34 mounted patrols, and 53 marine rescue boats.
Therefore, it will ensure detailed coverage on land and sea. Moreover, officials have confirmed full readiness to manage crowds, emergencies, and transport across all major celebration zones. 1,900 medical staff, 236 ambulances, and 635 paramedics, will be on high alert. Additionally, 12 hospitals and outdoor clinics will be prepared for many incidents.
