The Amazon UAE, in partnership with Dubai Future Foundation, has introduced the new initiative “Delivering Amazon Packages on Foot”. So, it has opened a fresh chance for residents to earn some extra income. Therefore, the programme allows people to deliver Amazon packages on foot in densely populated areas across Dubai. 

Part of Dubai’s Gig Economy Push

The delivery campaign is a part of the Sandbox Dubai campaign. However, the Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Dubai Future Foundation, Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, has approved this program. Moreover, this move is designed to boost the gig economy sector of Dubai. In addition, it gives residents and small business owners more flexible earning options. 

Amazon UAE’s pilot project is ready to change last-mile delivery by introducing on-foot delivery services. So, it allows workers to optimize their free time, earn extra income, and contribute to a greener delivery model.

However, he begins assisting in last-mile package deliveries to nearby residential customers.
