Dubai RTA Reopens Two Customer Happiness Centres After Major Redevelopment

Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has officially reopened its customer happiness centres in Umm Ramool and Al Barsha after a complete redevelopment. In addition, it has transformed them into advanced hybrid service centres. Moreover, the move is a part of the ongoing efforts of the RTA to enhance customer services through digital transformation, artificial intelligence, and sustainability-driven design. 

A Step Towards Dubai’s Smart City Vision

Director General and Chairman of the Board of Executive Directors of RTA, Matar Al Tayer. Highlighted that the redevelopment showcases the vision of Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum and Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum to make Dubai the smartest city in the world. 

He said. “These Hybrid Centres are created to provide services and added value, efficiency, and customer happiness.” 

This development matches the “Service 360 strategy” of the Dubai government. So, it integrates a smart, flexible, and efficient service delivery model. 

Improved Services and Customer Experience

The redevelopment has expanded the centres. Now, it will offer from 72 to 97 services that you can access through the official portal of the RTA, smart kiosks, mobile apps, and service advisors. Here are the key highlights of this development:

  • 24/7 operations at the Umm Ramool Centre, serving over 1,350 customers monthly outside standard hours.
  • Customer numbers grew by 25% in Q2 2025 compared with Q1.
  • Transactions are expected to increase from 84,000 in 2024 to over 100,000 in 2025.

The natural elements are inspiring the incorporation of sustainable architecture in the centres. So, it ensures a smooth customer journey with private advisory spaces and user-friendly designs. 

Consistent Progress in Smart Transformation of the Customer Happiness Centres

Dubai’s RTA has already completed the modernization of centres in Al Twar, Al Kifaf, and Al Manara. Now, the authority is eyeing to complete the Deira Customer Happiness Centre conversion in 2026. 

In addition, these officials are unifying service delivery channels and accepting the digital-first solution. So, the RTA is focusing on setting a new benchmark in customer care and operational efficiency. 

The reopening of Umm Ramool and Al Barsha centres shows the dedication of the RTA to customer happiness, innovation, and sustainability. So, this move is empowering the position of Dubai as the global leader in smart city services. In addition, we can expect more similar developments in the future.
