General Women Union UAE Launches World’s First Official Job for Productive Families

The General Women Union UAE has introduced the first job for the productive families during the second edition of the Creativity Path for Employment and Training programme exhibition in Al Ain. Moreover, this campaign shows the long-term “Mother of the Emirates 50:50 Vision”.  It is the strategy that extends to 2075 to support the social and economic role of the Emirati women. 

A Groundbreaking Initiative

This new employment model gives productive families an official status with a monthly salary, pension registration, and insurance coverage. Moreover, families also get a share of the proceeds from products delivered to the Heritage and Crafts Industries Center.

Unlike traditional jobs, employees are not bound to daily office hours. Instead, they commit to creating a set number of quality products weekly. Hence, it ensures flexibility for family and creative responsibility. 

Empowering Emirati Women

Her Highness Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak (Mother of the Emirates) has been attracting force behind this transformation. Moreover, her leadership through the GWU, the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, and the Family Development Foundation continues to provide sustainable empowerment. 

Noura Al Suwaidi, Secretary-General of the GWU, highlighted that this campaign realizes the trust of Sheikha Fatima in the capabilities of Emirati women. Moreover, Al Suwaidi, “This shows the ongoing directive of Her Highness to support economically and socially”. 

Expanding Horizons for Families

 Engineer Ghalia Ali Al Mannai, Head of Strategic and Development Affairs at GWU, said that this initiative provides productive families with a steady income. In addition, it also strengthens the creative economy of the  United Arab Emirates (UAE). Moreover, families can contribute to the sustainable national growth and preserve the traditional crafts by combining home-based work with professional benefits. 

National Platform for Creativity

The exhibition also introduced the new employment and training opportunities in collaboration with the UAE National Competitiveness Council (NAFES). However, these opportunities aim to place the Emirati job seekers in cultural and creative industries. Therefore, it aligns with the broader development goals of the nation.

General Women Union UAE steps towards women’s empowerment

The launch of the first official job for productive families in the world is a qualitative change in women’s empowerment and economic sustainability. Moreover, this campaign ensures that Emirati women and their families preserve their heritage craft by mixing flexibility with legal protection. Moreover, it actively shapes the creative and economic future of the UAE.
