Today, the Mollywood fans have a reason to celebrate, as Wayfarer Films has announced Lokah Chapter 2. This time, Tovino Thomas will lead the film as a mischievous goblin, Michael. However, Dulquer Salmaan will reprise his role as the shapeshifting Odiyan, Charlie.
Promo Video Teases Adventure and Drama
A nearly three-minute promo shows Michael and Charlie catching up over a toddy at a safehouse. However, Michael jokes about his 989 alcoholic brothers by revisiting the book They Live Among Us.
The interaction starts with a light-hearted conversation. Later, Michael also hints at darker threats, including a violent brother targeting him and Moothon (voiced by Mammootty). Hence, it proved the film is going to be a punch of lighthearted scenes and intense battle as per the first movie. Moreover, fans are predicting a deeper storyline and the wild antics of Michael.
Lokah Chapter 2 is Directed by Dominic Arun, Produced by Dulquer Salmaan
Dominic Arun is all set to return as director for Lookah Chapter 2. However, Dulquer Salman is going to produce the film under Wayfarer Films. We wanted to remind you that Lokah Chapter 1 – Chandra, starring Kalyani Priyadarshan, was the highest-grossing Mollywood film by earning over Rs. 280 crores. Moreover, the stage for Chapter 2 was already set in that movie with the cameo of Charlie and Michael.
Music and Filming Updates
Composer Jakes Bejoy is on board for the musical score. Moreover, filming for the Lokah Chapter 2 is expected to begin soon. However, the official release date is not confirmed yet by the makers. Still, fans are already excited to see whether the sequel will be able to beat the blockbuster success of the first film.
