The UAE Weather conditions across the United Arab Emirates (UAE) are set to stabilise slowly as the country steps into the new year. According to the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM), the sky is expected to be fair to partly cloudy with rising humidity. Hence, there is a renewed possibility of fog formation in many regions of the nation.
Fair to Partly Cloudy Skies Across the UAE

According to the NCM UAE forecast, most parts of the country are expected to experience fair to partly cloudy conditions today and tomorrow. After rough weather on New Year Eve, including strong northwesterly winds and rough seas, conditions are expected to ease slowly.
Skies will remain generally clear during the day, making outdoor activities comfortable for residents and visitors. However, cloud cover might increase slightly at times, especially over coastal and internal areas.
Humidity to Rise Overnight, Fog in UAE Likely in Some Areas

Rising humidity levels during the night and into early morning hours are one of the weather developments in the country. Therefore, the NCM has warned that humidity will increase over coastal and internal regions. Hence, it could create favourable conditions for fog or mist formation, especially before sunrise. So, the authorities have issued a UAE fog warning.
Fog is likely to develop in low-lying and open areas where moisture builds up overnight. Motorists are urged to drive cautiously, maintain safe distances, and follow official traffic advisories in case visibility drops significantly.
Humid conditions are expected to persist overnight on Friday and into Saturday morning. It means that the possibility of fog or mist will continue beyond the end of the weekdays.

Temperatures to Rise Slightly but Remain Pleasant

- Abu Dhabi: Lows around 17°C, highs near 23°C
- Dubai: Lows of about 18°C, with highs reaching 24°C
- Sharjah: Maximum temperatures around 24°C
Despite the gradual warming trend, nights and early mornings will continue to feel cool, especially in inland and mountainous areas. Winds to Remain Light to Moderate
Winds across the country are forecast to be light to moderate. However, they could freshen at times. These calmer wind conditions are an improvement from the strong northwesterly winds that affected the country on December 31, when wind speeds reached up to 40 km/h. The easing of winds will contribute to more stable conditions overall. However, residents should stay alert during early morning hours as fog might reduce visibility.

Sea Conditions Improving After Rough New Year’s Eve

Similarly, the sea conditions are also expected to improve after the rough seas experienced on New Year’s Eve. Earlier, the NCM had warned of wave heights reaching up to 6 feet in the Arabian Gulf. Moreover, the rough conditions were expected to continue.
Now, the sea conditions are forecast to be slight to moderate in the Arabian Gulf and slight in the Oman Sea. These improved marine conditions are good news for fishermen, beachgoers, and marine operators. However, caution is still advised during periods of fresh winds.
Advisory for Residents and Motorists
The NCM continues to advise residents to stay updated with the official UAE weather forecast, especially in fog formation. Reduced visibility during early morning hours can pose risks on highways and internal roads.
