OnePlus has finally launched its newest flagship smartphone, the OnePlus 15. However, it is a powerhouse created for performance, endurance, and advanced AI capabilities. Moreover, the new device will feature Qualcomm’s cutting-edge Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor, a massive 7,300mAh battery, and a 165Hz ultra-fluid display. Therefore, it is ready to become one of the most powerful Android phones of this year.
The global markets, including the UAE, will see the device hit shelves on the 13th of November. However, the US customers are required to wait, as the government shutdown has delayed essential Federal Communications Commission (FCC) certifications, which have halted the U.S. sales temporarily.
OnePlus Confirms U.S. Delay Due to Certification Backlog
Spenser Blank, Head of Marketing & Communications at OnePlus North America, has confirmed that device certifications have been impacted by the shutdown. He stated, “As a result of the government shutdown, device certifications have been delayed. Subsequently, the US sales for the OnePlus 15 will be postponed until they have been secured.”
He added that the device has already passed all FCC-recognised lab tests. However, its final approval is still pending. Hence, the interested buyers can sign up at OnePlus.com/us to be notified once sales go live.
Despite the delays, global customers can already pre-order the flagship at OnePlus.com starting November 13.
Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5: AI and Gaming at the Core

This smartphone is one of the first smartphones to feature Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5. However, it is a next-generation chip engineered for on-device AI processing, enhanced power efficiency, and ultra-fast gaming performance.
On top of that, its AI engine works seamlessly with Google’s Gemini AI, integrated into OxygenOS 16. Thus, this helps the phone to learn from user behaviour and provide personalised recommendations via its new “Mind Space” system. Moreover, it keeps data securely on the device.
OnePlus 15 Offers Unmatched Battery and Charging Performance

The 7,300 mAh of this smartphone sets a new standard for endurance, as it could last up to two full days on a single charge. Moreover, you can top up your device in minutes due to 80W wired and 50W wireless charging support.
This makes the phone one of the largest and most efficient batteries in any flagship smartphone. Hence, the phone has outpaced competitors like Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra and Google Pixel 10 Pro.
Built for Gamers: 165Hz Display and Advanced Cooling
OnePlus always support mobile gamers with a 6.78-inch 1.5K AMOLED display that supports a 165Hz refresh rate. Hence, it is capable of running mobile titles, like Call of Duty: Mobile and Real Racing 3, at native 165fps.
On top of that, the device has an advanced vapour chamber cooling system to keep temperatures in check during an extended session. Moreover, its touch response chip ensures lightning-fast reaction times.
The display peaks at 1,800 nits for bright outdoor use. However, it can dim down to 0.5nits for comfortable night viewing.
Camera Upgrades and Design Innovations

The OnePlus 15 sports a triple triple 50MP rear camera system featuring main, ultra-wide, and telephoto lenses with up to 3.5x optical and 120x digital zoom. The front camera is a 32MP sensor, perfect for high-quality selfies and 4K video calls.
On the other side, the device has ditched its previous Hasselblad partnership, instead debuting the in-house “DetailMax Engine” for image optimisation. Moreover, the smartphone has three striking finishes mentioned below:
- Infinite Black – frosted matte glass back
- Sand Storm – fibreglass composite with a ceramic-grade frame
- Ultra Violet – colour-shifting coating from violet to sapphire
