Sharjah Fire Update: Blaze Erupts in Industrial Area 10 Auto Parts Warehouse

As per the confirmation by the Sharjah Police via a post on X (formerly Twitter), a significant fire broke out on Friday morning at a warehouse dealing in auto parts in the Sharjah Industrial Area 10. Reportedly, the warehouse has stored tyres and car scraps. 

Moreover, it caught fire early in the day when nearby businesses were still closed due to the Friday break. Fortunately, emergency teams from the Sharjah Civil Defence with Sharjah police, and other relevant authorities responded quickly. 

 Quick Response by Authorities

The firefighting operation started after the arrival. Moreover, the emergency teams are working diligently to contain the blaze and prevent its spread to the nearby areas. However, some senior officers from Civil Defence and Sharjah Police are supervising the operation on-site to ensure the safety of the involved professional. 

Local residents said, “We were indoors since the work usually begins after 4 PM on Fridays. When we stepped out for prayers around noon, thick smoke was rising. It was massive.” 

Another eyewitness who was heading to the mosque from Industrial Area 6 described seeing fire engines racing towards the affected location, followed by the residents discussing the incident. 

Once the flames are extinguished, the cooling operation will be initiated before the investigator accesses the reason and extent of the damage. 

 No Injuries Reported So Far in Sharjah Fire

Although the fire was massive in Sharjah. Still, there is good news because there os no casualties or injuries reported till now as per the primary update from the authorities. Moreover, the site has been sealed off for public safety. In addition, the traffic has temporarily been shifted to allow smooth access for the firefighter units. 

Authorities have urged the residents to avoid visiting the area. In addition, they are advised to only depend on the official updates and prevent rumors. However, the further investigation for the damage assessment will be conducted soon. 

Stay alert

The Sharjah Fire is a straight reminder of the danger linked with storing flammable items, like tyres and auto parts. As of now, the situation is under control because no casualties have been reported so far. In addition, the efforts are undergoing from this afternoon.
