The Local Emergency, Crisis, and Disaster Management Team of Sharjah confirmed on Saturday that a major Sharjah warehouse fire in a clothing warehouse at Al Hamriyah’s second free zone has been fully contained. Fortunately, there was no injury reported during the fire. Notably, it began on Friday evening, which prompted a swift and coordinated response from many emergency units across the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

Brigadier Omar Al Ghazal, Director General of Operations and Security Support and head of the executive committee for the emergency team, has praised the professional and efficient efforts of the firefighting units. In addition, he highlighted that their quick action prevented the fire from spreading to nearby facilities and broadly reduced the potential of the damage.
Brigadier Saeed Al Suwaidi, Deputy Director General of Sharjah Civil Defence, highlighted the high readiness levels of the field units. Therefore, he sais the instant containment shows excellent coordination between Sharjah Civil Defence and other supporting authorities.
