Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of the Executive Council, has approved a package of new Dubai AI initiatives. However, it is a landmark move to strengthen the status of Dubai as a global leader in technology and innovation.
The decision was made during the second 2025 meeting of the Higher Committee for Future Technology Development and the Digital Economy, where Sheikh Hamdan reviewed the ongoing transformation progress of the city.
Moreover, these initiatives are another big step in the mission of Dubai to become the fastest and smartest city of Dubai in the world. However, it is a vision inspired by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister of the UAE, and Ruler of Dubai.
Commitment to a Smarter, More Efficient Future

Sheikh Hamdan reconfirmed that the journey of Dubai toward an AI-driven economy is rooted in innovation, efficiency, and preparedness.
Plus, he said, “Our vision is clear, and our priorities are well-defined. We are in a consistent race to boost the readiness of our government entities not only to keep pace with the future transformation but also to make the most of the AI tools to deliver services that are more efficient, secure, and innovative — in line with the Dubai Economic Agenda (D33).”
Dubai continues to expand AI integration across government departments and the private sector under its leadership. Hence, it ensures that every digital transformation initiative contributes to smarter governance and sustainable economic growth.
New Dubai AI Initiatives Announced
The following is the list of the newly launched initiatives:
- AI Infrastructure Empowerment Platform
- Dubai AI Acceleration Taskforce
- Unicorn 30 Programme
Each campaign has been strategically created to strengthen the position of Dubai as a global economic hub. Hence, it drives progress in adoption, innovation, and governance.
AI Infrastructure Empowerment Platform: Building the Foundation
This platform aims to give a secure and advanced environment that allows government entities to create and deploy AI technology more efficiently. Moreover, this integrated platform combines smart services, cybersecurity, and cutting-edge digital infrastructure. Therefore, it helps the department streamline operations, reduce costs, and deliver faster AI-driven public services.
Dubai is laying the groundwork for a sustainable AI-powered government by ensuring a unified and secure ecosystem. Hence, it is setting a global benchmark for a digital transformation in the public administration.
Dubai AI Acceleration Taskforce: Uniting for Innovation

The creation of the Dubai AI Acceleration Taskforce is another big announcement. However, it is created to boost and enhance collaboration among the government entities and align their strategies for accepting AI.
It is formed after the consultations led by the Dubai Centre for Artificial Intelligence (DCAI) with Chief AI Officers from 27 government departments. However, this task force will focus on the following goals:
- Streamlining decision-making processes
- Improving institutional integration
- Ensuring measurable outcomes from AI initiatives across sectors
This approach ensures that the AI evolution of Dubai is coordinated, impactful, and future-ready.
Unicorn 30 Programme: Empowering Startups and Innovation
Sheikh Hamdan also launched the Unicorn 30 Programme, which is an inspiring ambition initiative by the Dubai Chamber of Digital Economy. However, this initiative is developed with the participation of 80 local and international companies.
Moreover, this program seeks to fast-track the growth of 30 high-potential startups across the emerging sectors. Hence, it helps them to become billion-dollar “unicorns” headquartered in Dubai.
The Unicorn 30 Programme will operate under the Dubai Founders HQ. Moreover, it will cover financing, growth, regulation, and governance. In addition, it reinforces the commitment of Dubai to boost entrepreneurship, attract global investment, and position the emirate as a leading startup hub.
