UAE Flight Cancellations Continue for Select Destinations: Updated Advisory for Travellers

The recent ceasefire between Iran and Iraq has brought a gentle calm to the Middle East. Moreover, it has offered hope for travelers affected by the UAE flight cancellations in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) due to regional tension between the countries.

During the conflict, Iran also strikes Qatar, which leads to the partial closure of its airspace. Now, the airspace has been opened, and most flights are coming into operation. Still, some airlines in the UAE are continuing their suspension to some destinations.

Partial Operations Restored, But Not All Routes Active

Most airlines have decided to continue their suspension, even after the ceasefire. They are emphasizing the commitment to their passengers’ safety and compliance with the authorities.

Affected passengers are being notified directly at their provided email address or phone number. In addition, most of them are giving refunds or rescheduling options to these people. Moreover, travelers are advised to keep their eyes on the official portal of the airline to get the latest updates.

Emirates extends the UAE flight cancellations.

Emirates has announced that flights to Tehran, Baghdad, and Basra from Dubai will be suspended until June 30, 2025. However, the conflict is over, but the airline decided to extend it for operational safety.

Customers who are connecting through Dubai with the final destination in Iran and Iraq would not be accepted for travel at their point of origin until further notice. It focuses on preventing travel disruption and ensuring passenger safety.

If you had any plans to travel to the affected destination, you should stay updated via the Emirates website for the latest information regarding it. In addition, you can also contact its customer care with queries regarding travel availability.

Flydubai flights will also remain suspended.

Similar to Emirates, FlyDubai has also decided to keep the UAE flight cancellations. So, it said their fights to Iran, Iraq, Syria, and St. Petersburg will remain suspended until 30 June, 2025.

In an official statement, the airline has also showcased its priority for the passengers’ safety. It says,” We are monitoring the case closely and the safety of our crew and passengers is our top priority.”

Customers are urged to keep checking the official Flydubai website or reach out to the support channel of the airline. You will get the most recent update on the travel availability and flight schedule.

Etihad Airways Also Continues Flight cancellations.

It has also announced that the flights to Tel Aviv will remain suspended until 15 July 2025 as a precautionary measure amid ongoing regional tension. Moreover, Etihad stated that they will not accept passengers from their origin cities who are connecting through Abu Dhabi to the cancelled flights.

The airline also mentioned, “travelers who are impacted by flight cancellations are being assisted with alternative travel arrangements.” Moreover, affected passengers are advised to contact the airlines for rebooking options or refunds.

Wiz Air and Air Arabia continue their suspension to some destinations.

Both airline companies have decided to continue their suspension in the affected region. However, Wiz Air Abu Dhabi has cancelled all its flights to and from the UAE until 30 June 2025, following the similar move by its parent company, “Hungarian carrier Wizz Air”.

Like other airline, Wiz Air do it as a precautionary step due to regional security concern. Similarly, Air Arabia, based in Sharjah, has suspended all of its flights to or from Russia, Iran, Iraq, Armenia, Georgia, and Azerbaijan. Moreover, the flights in Jordan are on stop until 26 June.

Since many flights are continuing the UAE flight cancellations, airlines request passengers to stay calm and informed through the official communication channels.
