UAE Fuel Prices for July 2025: Will Petrol Costs Drop Amid Falling Global Oil Rates

The United Arab Emirates is expected to release UAE fuel prices for July 2025 by June 30th. Following the 2015 fuel price deregulation, its diesel and petrol pricing mirrors global market trends. Moreover, these monthly revisions are closely noted by the residents because it is directly going to impact their lives.

Although the UAE fuel price remains unchanged in June 2025, it is yet to be known whether the price will again remain the same or see an upward trend after being stable.  Here, we will try to figure out these confusions and let you decide: is it the right time to fill your vehicle’s fuel tank to save money?

UAE Fuel Price Trends in 2025

The UAE fuel price has experienced fluctuation because of the global oil market dynamics. However, the maximum fuel price occurred in February 2025, and April 2025 saw the witness the lowest price.

As we told you before, the price remained unchanged in June 2025. See the current fuel price below:

  • Super 98 petrol: Dh2.58 per litre
  • Special 95: Dh2.47 per litre
  • E-Plus: Dh2.39 per litre
  • Diesel: Dh2.45 per litre (low from Dh2.52 in the last month)

Global Oil Market Impacting UAE Rates

Global oil prices have decreased sharply. Moreover, it is expected that the UAE Fuel Prices could follow the declining trend in July 2025. Notably, it is currently trading near $69 per barrel, which is down more than 7 percent this week.

This drop comes even after a recent conflict between Iran and Israel. However, both countries seem to be de-escalating. Iran was expected to shut down the Strait of Hormuz, a crucial artery for global oil transport, amidst the conflict.

Fortunately, it remained open and unaffected by the conflict.  Therefore, a statement from Tamas Varga (analyst at VPM Oil associate) mentioned that the geopolitical premium risks developed since the Israel attack on Iran have ended.

Oil Surplus Fears Are Back

The renewal of the global oil surplus concern is one of the key reasons behind the predicted drop in the UAE fuel price for July 2025. Analyst says that markets are now shifting focus from the geopolitical risks to the fundamentals, like supply and demand. Moreover, there is a growing expectation of an oil surplus in the second half of 2025 due to the softening global demand and improving production.

Moreover, analysts have mentioned that a sustained global surplus is becoming common because of the output rising and demand decreasing from big nations like China and the UK.

Suppose these trends continue. In that case, Brent crude oil price could remain under pressure, which might influence the fuel price in the UAE. In addition, it could potentially bring some relief to the pump and your pocket.

OPEC+ May Raise Output in August

It is another significant reason behind the significant drop in the global oil price. For those unaware, OPEC+ is the oil-producing alliance of the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia. It is scheduled to have a meeting on the 6th of July 2025 to discuss the potential increase in oil production by another 40000+ barrels daily from August. Moreover, Robert Rean stated that the price could drop further due to the production rise and demand drop.

What should the UAE resident do now before UAE Fuel Prices for July 2025 announcement?

The UAE fuel price for July 2025 is expected to drop due to the cost of Brent Crude declining, and no new problems are expected to disrupt. It could provide residents with some relief after many months of price hike. Still, it depends on the OPEC+ decision and the conflict of Iran-Israel.

It is expected that the price could become cheaper in  July 2025 unless new disruptions arise. Therefore, you should wait for the official announcement that will be made next week.
