Here is the UAE Weather update – The National Center of Meteorology (NCM has released a yellow alert across many parts of the UAE today, i.e, on Tuesday, 22 July 2025. Moreover, it issues the warning of convective cloud formation accompanied by rainfall, strong wind, and blowing dust.

These conditions are expected to continue between 2:30 PM and 8:00 PM, which could affect several eastern and southern regions, like Al Ain and Al Dhafra. Furthermore, the UAE weather is predicted to follow the spell of the intense heat and intermittent showers in some parts of Dubai and Al Ain earlier this week, where the temperature goes up to 49 °C.

Yellow Alert Issued in UAE weather: What It Means

As we told you before, a yellow alert has been issued across several parts of the nation. In the alert, the NCM has stated, “A chance of convective cloud formation linked with rainfall and fresh to strong winds at times, causing blowing dust in the region”.

Usually, these clouds are connected to thunderstorm-like situations that could lead to sudden showers and wind gusts. In addition, the speed of winds is expected to reach up to 40 km/hr. Moreover, the dust storms could also occur in these conditions, which will reduce the visibility, especially in deserts and open areas.

Safety Advisory from Abu Dhabi Police

The Abu Dhabi police have advised residents to be alert in the affected regions. In addition, motorists and drivers are also advised to stay extra cautious. They are suggested to follow the tips mentioned below:

  • Follow changing speed limits displayed on digital road signs.
  • Avoid abrupt lane changes during rain or low visibility.
  • Keep headlights on and maintain a safe distance between vehicles.

Authorities highlighted the importance of driving safely during the periods of rain and dust. In addition, they have advised to avoid unnecessary travel during the alert hours.

Humid Nights Ahead: Fog and Mist Expected

The humid conditions are forecast tonight, especially in the coastal areas, like Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and Sharjah. The NCM has reported that these conditions are going to persist until Wednesday, 23 July.

Moreover, it could lead to fog and mist formation during the late night and early morning hours. Similarly, the warning related to the fog is likely in low-lying and coastal areas. Therefore, you are advised to start early or delay travel during the fog hours in the affected regions.

Temperature Trends: Scorching Heat to Slightly Ease

The forecast for the high range temperature for Today is between 40 °C to 45 °C, which shows the continuation of the summer heatwave trend. However, the NCM reported that a notable dip in temperature is expected from Wednesday, July 23, 2025.

On the other hand, 24.6°C in Al Heben Mountain, Fujairah, is the lowest temperature recorded today in the early in the morning. It indicates that there is diversity in the regional climate within the UAE.

Dusty Skies & Strong Winds Continue

Besides the rainfall risk, there is also an expectation that dusty skies will happen across many regions of the nation. As we told you before, winds are forecast to peak at 40 km/hr that could potentially reduce the visibility.
