Residents across the United Arab Emirates (UAE) should get ready for unstable UAE weather conditions over the coming days. The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) has forecast fluctuating weather patterns from Sunday, January 4, until January 8. However, the weather will differ between dusty conditions, fog or mist formation, partly cloudy skies, strong winds, and occasional light rainfall across different regions of the country.
Fog and Dust Alert on Sunday
According to the NCM, the weather today will be favourable for the formation of fog or mist, especially across the internal and coastal areas during the early morning. Conditions will slowly shift from dusty to partly cloudy as the day progresses.
Southwesterly to northwesterly winds will be light to moderate initially. However, it might become active to strong occasionally, especially over the sea. Wind speeds are expected to range between 15 and 30 km/hr. Plus, gusts could reach up to 50 km/hr, which could lead to blowing dust and sand. In addition, it could also reduce visibility in some areas.

Very Rough Sea conditions on Sunday
Sea conditions will also be rough to very rough in the Arabian Gulf. However, the Oman Sea will stay moderate. Below is the forecast of sea conditions in the UAE:
- High tides occur at 12.53 pm and 3.36 am in the Arabian Gulf
- Low tides at 8.28 pm and 7.34 am in the Arabian Gulf
- High tides at 9.25 am and 11.13 pm in the Oman Sea
- Low tides at 4.19 pm and 5.08 am in the Oman Sea
Since marine conditions are forecast to remain hazardous, you should stay alert during the extreme period, especially if you are beachgoers and marine activists.
Mild Temperature is Expected
Besides rough seas and fog, temperatures in the UAE will stay mild, as they will not exceed 26 °C throughout the emirates. Dubai is expected to see lows of around 15 °C. However, Abu Dhabi might drop to 17 °C.

Monday: Cooler Temperatures and Chance of Light Rain
The UAE weather expert predict humid conditions will persist on Monday morning. However, it could increase the chances of fog or mist over some eastern internal areas. The sky will also range from fair to partly cloudy. However, low clouds will form over the eastern and northern regions.
There is also a chance of light rainfall over the far northern parts of the country. In contrast, temperatures are expected to drop, especially over the western areas. Winds will shift from northwesterly to northeasterly. However, the speeds will range between 10 and 25 km/hr.
Sea conditions will also fluctuate between rough and moderate in the Arabian Gulf. In contrast, it is expected to remain slight in the Sea of Oman.

Fog and Cloudy Skies Through Midweek
The UAE weather will continue to be humid in the morning, with fog or mist expected over the internal and western coastal areas. Weather conditions will stay fair to partly cloudy. However, low clouds over the islands and western sea regions with the possibility of light rainfall are also forecasted.
Winds during this period will be northwesterly to northeasterly. However, they could be light to moderate. Still, speeds could reach up to 35km/h. The Arabian Gulf will experience slight to moderate sea conditions. In contrast, the Oman Sea remains calm to slight.
Thursday: Cooler UAE Weather Persists
Humid conditions will continue by Thursday morning, especially over western internal regions. However, fog or mist could form in the country on January 8, i.e, Thursday. The sky will remain fair to partly cloudy, with low clouds appearing over islands and coastal areas. A noticeable drop in temperatures, especially across northern regions, is expected.
