Heavy rain has hit some parts of the eastern regions on Sunday, August 10, at around 4:30 pm. So, this brings relief to some areas. However, a few regions experienced dusty and cloudy conditions. According to the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM), Shawka in Ras Al Khaimah saw heavy showers. On the other hand, UAE weather in Fujairah, Al Ain, and other eastern and southern areas see the chances of convective clouds until 8 pm tonight.
Dubai and many other parts of the nation reported dusty conditions. In addition, these cases reduced the visibility because of the strong wind. So, the NCM described that the weather is influenced by an extension of a surface low-pressure system from the southeast.
In addition, a low-pressure system from the northwest and upper-level air flows forming clouds with moderate to heavy rainfall over scattered regions have also contributed to these conditions. Therefore, motorists are advised to drive safely as sudden strong winds may cause blowing dust and sandstorms, which could reduce visibility in some regions of the country.
High Temperatures Across the UAE
Despite the rain, the temperature remained high in the UAE. As per AccuWeather, residents in the nation experienced high temperatures between highs between 43°C and 47°C, with lows ranging from 31°C to 35°C. Moreover, the “RealFeel” temperature in Dubai was recorded at 43°C. Moreover, the highest temperature on Sunday was 47.7 °C, recorded in the Al Dhafrah region’s Bada Dafas at 3 pm.
