UAE Weather Update: Cooler Temperatures, Rising Humidity, and Rain Chances This Week

The UAE weather is seeing a welcoming change as temperatures dip, humidity levels increase, and the chances of rainfall increase across many regions. As per the National Center of Meteorology (NCM), the forecast for this week shows the gradual transition away from the country from peak summer heat.

Cooler Start to the Day

Early risers in Ras Al Khaimah experienced the coolest temperature recorded today at 25°C on Jais Mountain at 5 am. So, it provides residents with a refreshing break from the recent hot weather in the country.

On the other hand, the highest temperature in the country reached  46.2°C in Raknah (Al Ain) at 2 pm. So, it showcases the ongoing variation across the country.

UAE Weather: Clouds, Rain, and Humidity on the Rise

Today’s weather was fair to partly cloudy throughout the nation. In addition, the convective rainy clouds are expected to form over the eastern region by afternoon. Moreover, the NCM has also alerted the residents about growing humidity levels by nightfall, particularly in the coastal and internal areas.

Thus, it could lead to the formation of fog or mist overnight and into Wednesday morning. Hence, residents are advised to exercise caution during early morning drives as reduced visibility could occur.

Tomorrow’s Forecast: Stronger Winds and Possible Rain

Looking ahead, Wednesday’s weather is going to bring partly cloudy skies with an increased chance of convective cloud formation in eastern areas that might extend to extending inland. So, these conditions might lead to light to moderate rainfall in certain parts of the nation.

Winds are expected to differ from southeasterly to northeasterly, which could reach up to 45 km/hr. So, this condition could mix up dust and sand in exposed areas, especially during the afternoon. Hence, it could affect outdoor visibility and air quality.

Humidity and Sea Conditions

Humidity is expected to remain high through Wednesday night into Thursday morning. So, it could form mist in the coastal areas. Similarly, the sea conditions are predicted to remain calm in the Arabian Gulf. However, the condition could be a slight to moderate swell in the Oman Sea. In short, it could offer relatively stable conditions for marine activities.

What Residents Should Know

  • Stay updated with NCM alerts.
  • Drive carefully in foggy or dusty conditions.
  • Limit outdoor activities during peak afternoon hours due to heat and dust.

The mix of cooler mornings, humid nights, and sporadic rainfall shows the transitional phase in the UAE’s climate. So, you should follow precautionary steps.
