UAE Weather: Residents across the UAE are currently experiencing unstable weather conditions. Hence, the National Center of Meteorology (NCM) has issued a warning of continued rain, cloud cover, and dust storms. Moreover, the authority has also released the orange and yellow alerts for the formation of convective clouds. Thus, it urged the public to stay alert and follow official safety updates.
Heavy Rain, Hail, and Viral Weather Clips
Several areas, including Al Ain and Sweihan, have seen moderate to heavy rainfall. Moreover, some regions also witnessed hail showers. Also, a video showing a dust storm in Abu Dhabi went viral, illustrating how bad things are in the area right now.
The NCM announced that dusty skies and blowing dust would continue to reduce visibility until at least 8 pm tonight. So, motorists are advised to follow the following tips:
- Drive carefully
- Keep a safe distance between vehicles
- Avoid unnecessary travel during heavy rain or low visibility.
UAE Weather Forecast for Wednesday
Tomorrow, the weather is expected to stay partly cloudy to cloudy at times. Moreover, there is a chance of the development of the convective cloud eastward in the afternoon. Moreover, the conditions might also become humid overnight and into Thursday morning, particularly across the western region. So, it could raise the chances of fog or mist formation.
Winds are expected to remain light to moderate with speeds ranging from 10 km/h and 25 km/hr. However, the speed could reach up to 35 km/hr during the daytime. However, the conditions in the Arabian Gulf and the Oman Sea will be slight or normal.
Safety First During Weather Instability
The NCM is continuously reminding residents to stay updated with the official alerts and avoid spreading misinformation. Videos of rainfall and storms online, including those shared from popular weather tracking accounts like storm_ae, show the growing public interest in the changing weather patterns.
Safety measures like reducing driving speed, avoiding flooded roads, and securing outdoor items are strongly advised. This is because rain, dust, and fog are active across the nation.
The unexpected conditions could continue throughout the week. So, residents are requested to stay alert, follow official updates, and prioritize updates.
