The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) has issued a yellow weather alert for residents across the eastern and southern regions of the UAE, as the UAE turns dramatically due to rain. Notably, an alert has been issued in Al Ain and Fujairah. Furthermore, the warning for the formation of the convective cloud with heavy rainfall and strong winds is expected to occur today, i.e, on 20 July 2025.
What the NCM Has Reported
According to the official updates, heavy rain has already been recorded in some regions across Sa’, Khatm Al Shiklah, and Um Ghaffa in Al Ain. Moreover, the convective cloud activity is influencing the weather in such areas. However, clouds are popular for causing downpours, thunderstorms, and sudden weather changes.
As we told you before, the yellow alert has been issued in these regions of the UAE. It means that residents and citizens in the affected regions should stay alert for the potentially dangerous weather. However, the situation is not severe enough to cause significant harm in the region yet.
The alert is valid from 1:30 PM to 7:30 PM today. In addition, it highlights the following risks:
- Rainfall
- Fresh to strong winds that could reach a speed of up to 45 km/h
- Blowing dust and sand that could reduce the visibility
