UAE Weather Update: Temperatures Soar Close to 50°C as Humidity and Fog Expected Overnight

As per the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM), the UAE continues to suffer extreme heat conditions because the temperature touched a sweltering  49.9°C in Um Azimul (Al Ain) at 3:00 PM today, July 30, 2025. Moreover, the temperature in other emirates in the country saw a shocking increase. You can see the temperature in other cities below:

  • Dubai – 39°C
  • Abu Dhabi – 32°C
  • Sharjah and Ajman both hit 40°C
  • Ras Al Khaimah peaked at 42°C

Among these emirates, coastal Fujairah remained relatively cooler at 33°C.

Clouds, Humidity, and Fog 

The skies remained partly to mostly cloudy throughout the day. However, the conditions are expected to remain cloudy at times over eastern times. Moreover, the NCM forecast indicates that there is a chance of convective cloud formation eastward by afternoon.

As night falls, humidity is expected to increase, particularly over western coastal and interior areas. Therefore, it could lead to fog or mist formation on Friday morning. Thus, motorists are advised to drive safely due to low visibility risks in fog-prone regions. 

Wind and Sea Conditions

Winds across the UAE from the northwest to northeast. However, the speed of the wind could be in the range between 10 km per hour and 25 km per hour. Moreover, the wind could gust at a speed of 40 km/hr in some areas. Therefore, it could cause occasional dust and sandstorms, particularly in the western region. 

Similarly, the sea conditions in the Arabian Gulf are expected to remain slight to moderate. Therefore, it could convert roughly at times westward. Moreover, the Oman Sra will stay calm to moderate. 

UAE Weather Update: More Heat Across the Emirates Tomorrow

AccuWeather forecast shows that Thursday, July 31, will continue the heat trend. However,   Dubai is expected to reach a high of 43°C under partly cloudy skies. Moreover, Sharjah will face mostly clear conditions with the temperature rising to 44°C and dipping to 33°C at night. Similarly,  Ras Al Khaimah will also peak at 44°C with mild cloud cover.

The humid conditions are likely to persist during the morning hours, especially in coastal and internal areas.  However, the winds will remain light to moderate with the potential for dust storms.
