Rainfall and Cloudy Weather Expected in UAE Until August 10: NCM Forecast

Resident in Al Ain enjoyed cooler weather conditions on Wednesday evening because overcast skies and light to moderate rainfall covered many areas. Moreover, the NCM forecast that the showers were triggered by convective (rain-producing) cloud formations. However, the rain is expected to continue until 8 pm.

Weather Pattern Behind the Rain

The NCM said the weather is affected by the surface low-pressure system extending from north and south. Moreover, a relatively cold air mass in the upper atmosphere has also accompanied it. Thus, it creates an ideal setup for cloud development and rainfall.

Cloudy weather is predicted to persist across the UAE until Saturday, August 10. However, there is also a chance of more showers in many areas. In addition, people in the eastern and southern parts of the country could see additional rainfall by afternoon on Thursday, 7 August 2025, due to continued convective cloud activity.

NCM Forecast: Temperatures and Humidity Levels

The temperature has been on the higher side this week. However, the UAE temperature recorded a maximum of 49°C. On the other hand, the lowest temperature was 24.2°C early Wednesday morning. Though the highest reading was 47.9°C in Bada Dafas, Al Dhafrah Region.

Humidity remains high because the humidity levels are between 80 to 85 percent in internal areas. Similarly, the humidity is more than 90 percent in the coastal areas. Thus, this humidity with the combination of the highest level has increased the heat across most parts of the nation.

Jebel Jais is expected to record a low of  28°C on Thursday. However, Sila in Abu Dhabi could touch a scorching 48°C. Furthermore, the forecast predicts that Dubai’s temperature will range between 35°C and 43°C. Similarly, Sharjah will see lows of 32°C and highs of 43°C.

Winds and Sea Conditions

Winds will stay southeasterly to northeasterly, possibly getting stronger at 10-25 km/hr. However, gusts could reach up to 40 km/hr. Moreover, these winds might cause blowing dust and sand in some regions. However, the sea condition is expected to be slight in the Arabian Gulf and the Oman Sea.

Staying Weather-Ready

As weather conditions are fluctuating, you are advised to stay updated on the official forecast and be alert during outdoor activities, especially in high heat and dusty conditions. Therefore, the NCM always updates its advisories through the official forecast.
