The 77th Primetime Emmy Awards happened on the 14th of September 2025, at the Peacock Theatre in Los Angeles. However, the event celebrates the best in television. Yet, The Pitt, The Studio, and Adolescence are among the spotlights, as they emerged as the biggest Emmys 2025 Winners across many categories.
The Pitt Triumphs in Drama
HBO Max’s The Pitt secured the best Drama Series award, which became one of the significant milestones of the night. Moreover, lead actor Noah Wyle also took the trophy home for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series. Similarly, Katherine LaNasa got the award for Supporting Actress in a Drama Series. However, these victories positioned The Pitt as a powerhouse in the drama category.
On the other hand, Severance (Apple TV+) also secured major recognition with Britt Lower winning Lead Actress in a Drama Series and Tramell Tillman bagging Supporting Actor in a Drama Series.
The Studio Breaks Comedy Records
Apple TV+’s The Studio also made history by becoming the most awarded comedy in a single season. Moreover, it earned 13 trophies when combined with its Creative Arts Emmy wins. However, the series won Best Comedy Series on the main stage, with Seth Rogen claiming Lead Actor in a Comedy Series and directing the show to a win in Comedy Directing.
Apart from The Studio, Veteran star Jean Smart took home the Lead Actress in a Comedy Series prize for Hacks. Moreover, Hannah Einbinder (also Hacks) was honored as Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series.
Adolescence Leads Limited Series
Netflix’s Adolescence dominated the Limited or Anthology Series category by winning an award for the Best Limited Series. Similarly, Actor Stephen Graham secured the award for the Lead Actor. Moreover, Erin Doherty (Supporting Actress) and Owen Cooper (Supporting Actor) also received awards. Additionally, Director Philip Barantini added another win with Outstanding Directing for a Limited Series.
Besides Adolescence, Cristin Milioti of The Penguin of HBO MAX captured Lead Actress in a Limited Series.
Emmys 2025 Winners: Variety, Reality & Specials
The Late Show with Stephen Colbert won an award for the best talk show. However, Last Week Tonight with John Oliver. Moreover, The Traitors (NBC) won Reality Competition Program. On the other hand, SNL 50: The Anniversary Special was crowned Best Variety Special (Live).
The Emmys 2025 winners highlighted a new era in television storytelling because The Pitt, The Studio, and Adolescence are defining excellence across drama, comedy, and limited series.
